There is a company that makes longer handles for shovels, I will see if I can find it for you. They do have a limited clientele.

Admin mods, you may want to edit the title as this is a NATIONAL group and an national effort.
And it would be a good idea to include it on the sidebar so Freepers can find it in the future.

I've been looking for the perfect excuse to buy a bike. Mrs. Ramcat just might go for this one.
LOL - I wonder if that would work on Mrs. Reagan_Fanatic as well! I've been trying to get a bike for two years now...sniff

Mind what?? I was addressing the concerns of the original poster. It seems he had some doubt. You and others are detracting from the content of his post. Shameful.

You win the idiot of the day award. I think if you'll compare my number of on topic posts to yours you'll see that you're losing.

I just joined the Patriot Guard Riders. Ms.B -- they need a state captain for Maine -- think Mr.B or you would be interested?? It's definitely a worthwhile cause!!

Just recieved this freepmail from a freeper, hope they don't mind me posting it here too!
thank you.
You just don't know how it feels until it hits your home town...make that home village of 200-250 primarily retired farm folks, MANY of whom are vets (& hunters).
I really didn't know what to expect & couldn't attend the funeral. Typical of the area, the school dist includes outlying farm families so the school population is higher than "town" people.
200 of the good guys on bikes came to the funeral (KS) to stand between the family, friends & classmates & Phelps.
If you want me to get a contact # for the guys in KS who rode in I can try when I head home in a couple of days.

Well I must say, I did not read your posts. Third party posts are most usually personal and off topic by people that have little to add to content of the original.
You and others do have one small attribute to your credit, namely, your postings have kept a worthwhile post alive so I am sure the original poster is appreciative.

I thought I saw some of these Harleys blocking some anti-war demonstrators and I was about to go support them, but I realized they weren't blocking the protesters. They were broken down in the middle of the road.
Either that or they couldn't make it up the hill.
Ok, sorry. I couldn't help myself. I never pass up a shining opportunity to pick at a Harley.
Truth be told I would ride with these guys and block these protesters any day. Harley owners are indeed a loyal and patriotic breed.

Wooohoooo!!
I had a poster here at FR telling me that the last thing a family wanted at the funeral of their loved one was a bunch of strangers. I told them that the comments of family members who the bikers had protected from Phelps told me different. It's a shame that the bikers are NEEDED in this way, but I'm glad they are answering the call!!

Okay, Gang, everyone calm down.
I'm siding with Cynicom on this one. I read back through the post in question, and he's right - if Coop had inadvertently reposted something, the Posting Nazis indeed would have appeared, and made life miserable
Cynicom was dryly referring to that fact of life on FR.
Coop, Star, it's all just dry humor - kind of like mine?
Let's not forget who the foe is.

And all you did was come in and whine about the rules. If you have a problem with them, why don't you take it up with the mods instead of blathering on on a thread that has nothing to do with that topic?? Or contribute something worthwhile. Yeesh!

To the denist, how about a root canal without pain killers, more fun I bet than a baseball bat.

We are the majority and anytime we desire or issue we can muster enough interest towards, the left is defeated.
Christmas is a prime example, now we just need to extrapolate the idea that its okay to say "In God We Trust" in the Pledge Of Allegiance or saying a prayer in school or anything else the MAJORITY believes in.
It's okay to be in the majority, don't let the left shame us away from it with words like bigot, racist, etc. that is nothing more than a strategy to make us feel guilty as if we are wrong or bad for thinking the same thing 90 percent of the population does.
It's okay to be a real America.
To: Old Sarge; All
I've had a couple of threads removed as well -- once because I put it in the wrong place (so it was actually just moved) and once because I accidentally forgot to link to the real story. Once I contacted the mod with the information, the thread was reinstated. I just get tired of the whining about threads being removed ~ both times it happened to me it was something I did wrong ~ not following rules. But (and I'm NOT sucking up here) the mods were gracious when contacted. I think the respect thing goes both ways.
