Newsmax completely avoided the main topic of the speech - why Quadaffy is cutting Libya's defense budget - it's getting to the point that if a Newsmax story is posted here -then the truth is probably radically different than whatever newsmax claims.

Because it is getting to a pertinent portion that you read. And otherwise would never have heard from the MSM. It is sifting for the nuggets of info-minerals you need to get that your aren't getting with your MSM-Diet.

I don't what NewsMax's angle is - whether they are genuine conservatives who think that tricking other conservatives helps the cause or whether they are just another media outlet using misleading reporting to exagerate and twist the news to get more advertising revenue.
The MSM by and large completely spiked that part of his speech. The liberal, Dog Gone, jumped in and claimed that it was not in fact uttered by GWB...and still more proof of Newsmax unreliability.
B'zzzt. Turns out that Newsmax got it right, one other MSM source...the Washington Post, while burying it way down in the story...without quoting the President in full, still alluded to it. Confirming he said it.
A'hem. So, while Newsmax may have its flaws, I'll take them over the MSM. Read 'em all. It's a free country. But let's face it, if the MSM had its way there wouldn't be an alternative media, no internet, and no talk radio.

I hope you don't think I just anything positive about Qadaffy. I said that the newsmax article was deliberately misleading. If they had reported fully on the Memri article they used as a source Qadaffy would have looked even nuttier - Look at what he said about foreign nurses accused of infecting Libyan kids with AIDS.
