Hey...glad you saw it! Guess you can show your son--but Booboo would probably be horrified! :o)

Good job, Proud Mom, getting your students involved. Good lessons to be learned. And if they know Ev, even in passing all the better. Thanks to the choir for their caring. ((HUGS))

".....but that there could well be Iraqi Scouts there for the first time since Saddam came to power and disbanded the Scouting movement."

Hope to goodness that the leaders are dedicated and well versed in the Scouting message. If so, this will go a long way towards helping make new leaders.

The Knight and the Archer sat close by the fire
long into winter's night,
each sharing stories of tales and glories
by flickering soft firelight.

The Baron was snoring, for true to his boring
true nature he fell fast alseep,
and the Knight and the Elf traded words with Herself,
as the Leprechaun started to weep.

"Oh, friends, 'tis a shame", her sobbing words came,
"for th' twain of ye to see me so,
but th' fear's so real, and here's me appeal
to bring ye both to Gloaming-O."

The Knight, he had heard of this leprechaun's world,
of the gateway to lands of the Fey,
but the Archer did too, and she warned the two
of the perils by night and by day.

"This path," the elf said, "is mortally dread,
for the road is both dark and bright,
to travel with Fey, is tricky by day,
but it really gets worse at night."

Fiona explained, her expression still pained,
"Th' need's great, and th' journey's high stakes,
"But oh, me new friends, 'tis to th' best of ends
that th' road to Gloaming-O takes!"

The Knight, it's a fact, was ready to act
in the cause of a friend in dread,
and seeing the plight of the Hibernian sprite,
he turned to his elf-friend and said,

"Here is a deed, to help one in need,
and adventure waits just 'round the bend,
but the peril is there, and I truly do care
for the counsel of you, my best friend.

"Advise me to stay, or to be on our way,
and on that path we shall go,
but I want it known, that I won't go alone,
without you, down to Gloaming-O."

That is good to hear. You never know what kinds of compromises must be made to stay alive. Scouting will put them in really good stead for the freedom path ahead.
