I know how you feel......I thought about turning it off, but then I remembered what I feel is nothing compared to those on the flights.
I had to come look for a thread...needed to do this with freepers, not alone.
On one level I need to know my anger, rage, tears & sorrow are still there. They are.
Now don't get all uppity with me. The undertone is that 'they' should have done something to save those poor people.
Short of shooting the aircraft out of the sky with a full load of passengers on board, even if there had been time, what do you think might have been done?
Get angry with the filthy slime that did this terrible thing, but not the military who had no chance and no precedent.
This is like it was yesterday for me. Does that ever change. Those actors playing the terrorists have such vile hatred in their eyes.
I can't, for the life of me, remember his name, but Aloha Ronnie knows it. If you've seen the book, "We Were Soldiers Once, and Young" that man's picture is on the cover. He's walking through the jungle in Vietnam with his rifle in his hands. He was one of the soldiers who fought the NVA at LZ XRay, in the I Drang Valley, the first battle ever involving Air Cavalry . Aloha Ronnie was there, so he knows all about this brave man.
I'm cynical, but I'll never be that cynical. I'm detecting no undertone, but then I'm not wanting to.
Grrr!
Must think good thoughts. good thoughts! Kumbiaa kumbiaa KILL KILL!
It's a disgrace that this story had to be a cheap little A&E made for TV movie while the studios make "Syriana" and "Munich" for hundred-million-dollar budgets and 2,000-screen releases.
I hope the government will start defining the enemy correct.
The Saudi Wahabbi influence is right out front...they are not our friends.
Rick Rescola (?sp)
I have missed it before, but will watch it tonight. I almost feel as if I knew him thanks to Aloha Ronnie.
Now I remember it! He was Rick Rescorla, and he was the head of Security for one of the firms in the towers, Morgan Guaranty, I think. He had been drilling the employees since the attack in 1993, so everyone knew exactly what to do. He stayed behind to make sure everyone was out, and got caught when, I think, the first tower fell.
Remember the blood of heroes (not a gory presentation, and safe for dialup users)...

"24" just added a whole "insiders terrorist job" as "pretext for a war to keep oil flowing" subplot tonight. I don't see why people think that is any sort of "pro-US" show. Recall that the producers recut last season when CAIR complained.

How far into the flight did the plane come down?
There have been excellent documentaries covering 9-11-2001 that don't stir up the visceral emotional drama. As a matter of fact, A&E aired a couple of good ones this past weekend about the rise and fall of the WTC, and anatomy of 9-11.
I no longer fly. After watching this movie. I will no longer fly.
I don't know if that ever changes. I know some WWII veterans in my family who don't want to think back on some horrors they witnessed.
I'm having this same sick feeling now. The terrorists were lucky that they had our shock on their sides and that shock, at least at first, eclipsed our anger. Not again.
That's a good thing--(in a way).
We haven't forgotten. We never will.
So far I am not sensing any sort of hidden agenda.
