I started wathcing it and the words of Senator Reid came to me:
"Just think! We killed the Patriot Act!"

I'm angry, sick, and, watching the depictions of how these people realized what was happening and, overcoming hteir shock and fear, decided to DO something, I feel a sense of pride rising.
Watch it...remember them. They did not sell their lives cheaply.

Just seeing the trailer for this picture earlier tonight brought back the tears, horror and seething rage of that awful day. I couldn't turn on the boob tube to watch it....

My 15 yr old son is entralled. He was 10 at the time. Did not quite "get it" when it happened. This has been his world these last 4 years and he is watching a pretty good account of one flight that day.
He is watching Todd Beamer now.
Compare the "religion of peace" to that of the 23rd Psalm (or was it the Lord's Prayer?) that the lady of the phone said with him.

I'm sitting here in tears....i remember driving from McAllen to Brownsville TX and when they announced that a plane had gone into the Pentagon I lost it....then by the time I got to Brownsville they were talking about Flt 93 and the Towers falling....that was a awful day; this is an awful reminder. I will be full of anger for the rest of my life! I hope Dim senators are watching this and now know why we need the Patriot Act...

I think he might be referring to the WP stories uncovering the listening to terrorist phone calls.
I couldn't watch it. Just seeing the start made me angry to no end.

They did not sell their lives cheaply. Thank you for those words.

With the WP, it's hard to tell. And what is on the sidebar tonight may not be tomorrow and won't be weeks later if someone rereads this thread.

It's a disgrace that this story had to be a cheap little A&E made for TV movie while the studios make "Syriana" and "Munich" for hundred-million-dollar budgets and 2,000-screen releases.
There is another Flight 93 movie scheduled for Big Screen release this spring.
I haven't heard much about it yet.

Long time no hear...hope all is well with you and yours.
This is rough...it was rough and will always be so!
Things are bad when evil doesn't know it is evil.
Islam must be exposed...and muslims must be the first told about it. The Allah of islam is not the creator...he is the destroyer...Allah is Abaddon/Apollyan...Allah is the destroyer.
Isn't the evidence in?

Well...I feel like we owe it to those brave souls who gave their lives that day to watch their final minutes. But it's awful.

That's a good thing--(in a way).
We haven't forgotten. We never will.
Yes. The same emotions of rage and empathy. We need these reminders.

The best documentary I have seen on the WTC is the one by the two French brothers who were filming the life of a young probationary NY fireman when the attack occurred. They are the ones who have the footage of the first plane hitting the tower while they were checking out a gas leak nearby. That is riveting actual footage with men who were alive and seen at the start of the film, dead at the end. And they cut out/refused to film the most gruesome scenes such as the bodies falling and the last elevator to reach the ground floor full of burning people from the fuel dripping down the elevator shaft.

The one that History or Discovery channel did on this last summer was fantastic, even better than this one. At first I didn't realize this one was different and almost didn't watch. But this one is still good.
