Woolsey and her ilk are symptoms, not problems.

I think Woolsey and her ilk are problems. IMO, Woolsey and Barbara Lee were intentionally trying to disrupt the SOTUA and embarrass the President. Woolsey is as big a Socialist as there is in Congress. I think she, Lee, and Conyers should be brought before the Ethics Committee and censured for their part in Cindy Sheehan being present last night. Anyone as stupid as Cindy Sheehan should be considered dangerous. She is so desperate for media attention that she would stoop to any low.

I listened to Woolsey on Medved yesterday. It is incredible that she is an elected officeholder. She is quite inarticulate to the point of inability to pursue a thought to the end of a sentence and she did NOT sound drunk. Med said she was elected with 73%. That bespeaks a terrible contempt for the institution of Congress on the part of her constituents

Woolsey should be censured by the Congress. At the very least.

Why? Please explain.

While I mourn Cindy Sheehan sons sacrafice, I could give a gerbil's fart for her and some of her more delusional rants.

I know its tough to swallow but....I, as much as it sometimes pains me, will also stand up for her, and our, rights to express our God/Constitutional given rights to express our thoughts about our government. If history is any guide, we won't always be in the majority. I want that right protected.

Sorry for the semi-rant...but the SOTU always makes me a little weepy about the fact that we are all in this together regardless of those among us that try to divide us.

{btw...did I pluralize gerbil correctly?}

Roosevelt broke the law and he did so repeatedly. He conquered the fascists, the Nazis,

And then instituted many of their policies here, policies which continue to do damage to this day.

He was the driving force behind the United Nations.

For this alone may he rot in hell.

Tyrrell could have at least said that Woolsey is a member of the Democrats Progressive (read Marxist) caucus, and the 60-member strong Democratic Socialists (read Marxist)of the USA caucus.

Woolsey's "area" is immediately North of Marin County, CA (immediately north of San Francisco). She has some of the hugest homosexual communities, plus the 60s organies and hold-outs from the 60s plus wineries.

I have no problem with her First Amendment right to free speech, but the SOTU address is a completely inappropriate place to protest.
The Constitution requires the president to report once a year to the Congress on the state of the country. He is fulfilling his constitutionally mandated duty by giving this speech. Cindy Sheehan or anyone else has no right to disrupt that. If protest were allowed in the gallery of the Capitol for the SOTU address, then the everyday proceedings of Congress would be subject to protest and disruption. What chaos we would have then !

The bell curve up there is decidedly moved toward the Communist end. Recall that John Walker Lindh is one of her constituients.

Oh. Do they still do acid around there? Given the above information her clarity of thought and speech becomes very much representative of her constituency.

If this were clearly marked/posted/defined I would agree. I don't *think* it is. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But just sitting wearing a tshirt, I personally don't think disrupts anything. Disrespectful? Absolutely. But it's only a tshirt. Just makes the gov't look bad for no good reason.
