Mygosh, if bill clinton is the voice of reason and decorum, they're in a world of hurt. I say, let them continue on in their vile outbursts and tirades. The louder they get, the louder hillary will have to scream to be heard. That can only help us. Get earplugs and make popcorn.

Mrs. King cheapened her own legacy.

Democrats just followed her example.

Did any media cover this except for some of the Fox shows?

Just wait till clinochio kicks the bucket. The patron saint of the left will be "euligized" the same way Corretta was. It'll degenerate into a Pub bashing session. I'd almost bet my next paycheck on it.

By their fruits yea shall know them and the funerary spectacle of Ms. King was the fruit of her philosophy and that of her adherents.

They should open the "secret" files on MLK and let us know his REAL story.

"Where else are we going to have the stage to do this?"*

Nowhere else because the rest of us are TIRED of your whining, TIRED of the trillions of dollars spent on the war on poverty only to watch you too dumb to get out of your own way when something like Katrina happens but hey, no problem, because you're just gonna blame someone else - in this case Bush - anyway.

*Buy a clue - your time is over.

The problem is that the left just doesn't get it. They think they are scoring points, but they just keep digging a deeper hole.

After growing up in the rural south and and accepting to plight of minorities and doing my part in seeing that everyone got fair treatment. After yesterday, I could care less. There is nothing left to be done.

You're right here. Inside the beltway, if you can't succeed as a minority contractor for the government, then you just don't know what you're doing, and who should be rewarded for that. Blacks are just as successful as any other demographic group when they want to be.

I'm awaiting the backlash from the black community to toss their "leadership," which can be more compared to union bosses than true leaders. The transparency on their interests in "keeping their own 'black brothers' down" is ridiculous. Yet, their constituency keeps crawling back. It's pretty amazing.

Meanwhile, it's the GOP that just keeps on setting precedent on having blacks succeed to the top levels within it's party. It's always been that way too. I mean hell, Condi's being rumored as a good Presidential candidate. Since when have the libs ever had someone in that boat? Her aspirations to be NFL Commissioner certainly aren't unrealistic pending Tagliabue's status and other candidates.

But you're right, there is nothing that anyone other than themselves can do to help themselves and I think it would be good for the political environment to begin behaving that way.

This display by the democrats was absolutely disgusting. The demoncrats are without morals or character they believe in nothing and stand for nothing except HATE. Unfortunately most blacks stand with them. It is past time that we stand up against the democrats and the majority black population in America and expose them for what they are racist, baby killing communists.

The audience was almost entirely black and as a group they vote 90% democrat, Nagin, West, Foxx, Oprah, Julien Bond (that is in the last month) have spewed their racial hate with immunity. Why do we sit quietly and allow this to fester and to go without rebuke?

The leftist blacks will continue to keep their blinders on. They (in this country) embrace the socialist/communist doctrine but have never had to live under that hindrance. They are totally naive

If they truly wish to experience what life would be like in such a country or government, they should move to China or Korea (Oh nuts! I forgot, neither of those countries will allow blacks to live there) Well then, they can go live with Hugo Chavez.

I watched/heard much of the speechifying at King's funeral yesterday.

My personal observations are that many comments by a number of speechifiers turned the funeral of a good woman, who died a very painful death, into a worse spectacle than the "Paul Welstone Memorial and RAT Rally."

Welstone was simply an elected official and though his death sudden and unexpected, he spent much of his life in the political arena.

Whereas, Mrs. King became a widow at a very young age with four small children. Her husband, no matter what the Kennedy's thought of him, didn't deserve to be assassinated. Mrs. King chose to continue Martin's Legacy, as she saw it, and from all outward appearances, was a very loving mother to her fatherless children. In public, at least, she lived a dignified life until the end.

What a sorry sight that her so-called tribute to a life well lived, ended as a cheap political ploy to a bunch of charlatans, masquerading as Servants of our Lord and Savior and people in "public service."

"A Martin Luther King, she was not."

I have always likened Mrs. King to Winnie Mandela -- maybe not as vicious, but a socialist, none the less.

"I am so proud of President Bush and Laura, they are so good and strong and gracious, we are truly blessed."

Amen, to that! I have said this before -- I don't know how President and Mrs. Bush can live with all of the barbs and vicious attacks made on them, day after day after day. Their spirits are far stronger than mine (and more forgiving, too!)

The reason so many blacks are doing poorly is that they follow racists like Jimmy Carter just because the person is a Democrat.
