Oh, man, THAT'S embarrassing! We had a guy do that two years ago on a pheasant/quail hunt. Nailed the guy right in the keester from 35 yards, so the guy was OK but pissed that his new overalls were torn up.

The vice president didn't see him. The covey flushed and the vice president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by god, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good.
Someone explain to the reporter that you CAPITALIZE THE V, P, and G, as in Vice President and God. That aside, I'm not sure The Vice President didn't see him...Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good makes sense, better to just say the Veep made a mistake.

Usually it's a guy's poor field dog that gets hit. I got my last labrador from a field trial kennel at about 3 years old... years later an xray showed several birdshot pellets in him... If he'd been hunting with the VP, the pellets would be out.
