Republicans have already lost the mid-terms. I have to strain to think of any grass-roots conservatives who currently have a positive view of the party. In addition, Bush is sure to derail any conservatives showing promise in the primaries.

"ots and lots of people are telling me they do not intend to vote in the 2006 election. Others are saying they will vote for third-party candidates. I hear that every election. Little comes of it."
"Little comes of it" ???
Excuse me??!!
What about this little weasle and just enough "disgruntled" republican voters
to saddle this nation with eight flippin' years (and counting) of the clintons???

This senerio is entirely possible. Republicans have to give people reasons to vote
for them, not just handwaving about how bad the other side is.
I'll not be voting Republican except in very limited cases.
Secure the border.
Reduce spending.
Then they can talk to me about my vote. I'd probably throw in something about actually repealing every single national gun control law, but actually enforcing the Constitution is too much to ask from this limp-wristed bunch.

As a counterpoint- the Dems aren't that positive either nor is the public much happier with their democratic congresspersons.

Only a moron thinks the GOP will lose in November.
Are you that weak of a Conservative to buy into the media perpetual lying?
I am tired of the whimpers of the feckless.
I am tired of the opining of the clueless.
We win because there are more of us then them.
We win because because we get out and vote.
Apathy is the hope of the left and the fear of the feckless RINO.
After Alito and Roberts make the bench, Conservatives realize more than ever the importance of their vote.
The WHIMPS fear their own shadow.
My message to the WHIMPS. "Get out of the way. You're stinking up another victory."

RINOs undermine the party as a whole, cheapen its values, and cause needless losses in areas they dominate. If liberals want to get involved in politics, do it in the Democrat party, stop dropping turds into OUR pool.

I am going to write myself in if I can in 2006.
I am sick of both parties. I am not a RAT or a plant, I am sick of the sell out of America by the modern day Medici family.

So what is the issue that is keeping all these people home?
Would a Speaker Pelosi be better for your friends.
By the way, welcome to FRee Republic.

Reps should quit fussing about RINOs and quit trying to chase out us moderates. If you "moderates" aka liberals would just stop obstructing ANWAR drilling, obstructing spending cuts, and finding other ways to make common cause with Nancy Pelosi, then maybe no one would try to chase out the RINO's.

I myself am tempted to stay at home. Republicans in my state are divided and cannot come together because of spending habits. But the crux of the matter is picture America under the Democrats and if you can stay at home you are not worthy to be an American.I do not make any excuses because the Republicans have created their own problems and I wish there was a way to kick a lot of them out and replace them with real Republicans but I have never in my almost 70 years seen a group as evil and hate filled as the Democrat Party.I honestly fear them to the extent I would rather see a revolution than turn this country over to them. In my opinion they are dangerous and have destroyed every bit of the moral fiber in America because they are bonifide ACLU indoctrinated and Communist inspired. I have voted for many more Democrats in my lifetime than anything else and considered myself a Democrat for quite a few years but the liberal wing of the Democrat Party is in control and they are really worse than the Hollywood group.

Chief Justice Roberts is pointing to a cloud shaped like a Conservative stupid enough not to vote GOP in 2006. Thus giving Joe Biden and Ted Kennedy the reigns of the Judiciary Committee with Justices Stevens and Ginsburg on life support.

And quit supporting illegal immigration and quit acting like McCain-Feingold was a good thing.

"The Conservative movement will crush the libs in 2006 because Stevens and Ginsburg are on life support and our military is at war."
I agree. I come from a family of democrats who say they will vote Republican as long as we are at war. I have three democrat friends who will vote Republican due to the SCOTUS picks and the war.
I was not able to convert them until we went to war in Iraq. They are now onboard with the GOP for at least the next few years.
