I thought that Islam was dead-set against Homosexuality. The punishment for it in Muslim countries is usually death.

I've heard from a soldier in Afghanistan that homosexuality there was VERY common. He suspected that it was because you had to buy a wife, and it took many years to save up for one. I don't buy that explanation, because no matter how long I went without a women, I'd rather die that do it with a man.
The soldier said that every couple weeks they'd find a bunch of used condoms in a warehouse, in a place where there were only Afghani men, no women anywhere near, that was his proof.

They did it for money. Maybe if the military paid a decent wage then these poor kids would not have to find more money to subsidize their paychecks.....I AM JUST KIDDING!!! I just find it funny that the article said they did it for money.

Frankly, imho, they should not be allowed to remain in our U.S. Army.Agreed. It seems that not all progress is good. I have tremendous respect for our military, but many of the changes since the infamous "Tailhook" have led to a host of problems, this being one. Get them out now!
