Who didn't realize Ford was courting the gay market anyways? I mean, c'mon, The Probe? I can't imagine what those seats must have felt like.

AFA, 18 Other Pro-Family Organizations Call For One-Year Boycott of Ford Motor Company !! This makes it unanimous!!

So, Ford reaches out to 10% of the population and POs off 90%. Smart marketing move, eh? (rolling eyes)
Why some companies get involved in highly volatile situations is beyond me. If I sat on the Board, heads would roll.

I got rear ended by a Probe once. Honestly. My insurance agent could not stop laughing.

I don't see a single member of the Ford family among the trustees and officers of the Ford Foundation. Care to provide any proof of your allegation?

I have an F-150 and my wife drives a new Honda Odyssey minivan. I was surprised what a piece of junk the Honda turned out to be. We have had it in the shop 3 times for different reasons. I am thinking of trading it in for a Toyota Sienna.
My F-150 is a 2000 and so far it has been doing great.

True...
besides, it seems like half the companies he calls for boycotts of end up with increased sales and profits.

I don't buy Ford. I buy Chevy and Dodge.
Having said that I am not boycotting a company because of advertising, unless the advertising was blatant in its promotion of a particular behavior. I don't care if they are trying to market to a particular sector of society... that's just good business.

Oh, The money just came from the officers and trustees picking up pop cans ?...Gotcha.. That makes sense, like lug-nuts on a birthday cake.

I mean, c'mon, The Probe? I've owned two Probes in my life. They were both a pain in the @$$.
Thank you, thank you! I'll be here all week! :)

Too bad about the Odyssey! I love my Accord V6 even better than Camrys. The F150 is a 2003 and we had a 2000 Ranger XLT that was a good vehicle too.

Im currently looking to buy another car and spent a day last week checking the local dealerships. I doubt I will go near the Ford dealership again for any reason, but it has nothing to do with a boycott.
If I had the money I would buy a 2006 Mustang GT convertible - from another dealership.

I've boycotted Ford for years because they make crappy cars.
To: ThePoliticalDookie
Who would want a Ford anyway. Unless you luck out and get a good one, from the results folks I know have had, they are nothing but headaches.
I have 3 Saturns. 460,000 miles on one, over 140,000 on another and 98,000 on one I just got.
Saturns are the toughest, most reliable and economical cars I've ever owned, and I've owned all US brands as well as Nissan, Datsun, Mercedes, Toyota, and Suburu.
Have put over 2 million miles on vehicles so far.
