" My F-150 is a 2000 and so far it has been doing great."
I too have a trouble free 2000 F-150,it still has the original battery.
Ford is a little too gay friendly now though for our family.

Is the 2006 Camaro Concept a plate name or a concept car due for release sometime in the future?

This is just fundraising by his organization. That's a very weak argument. Pretty much all charitible orgs, political parties, and political orgs use the same method to fundraise. But in your mind, when AFA does it, it's wrong.
At least many of AFA's boycotts are effective. That's saying more than the woe-is-us and the-end-is-near junk that many others put in their fundraising letters to generate contributions.

I personally like Ford pick up trucks, I don't care for their political social ideals.
My Father and one of my brothers retired from Ford, My dad has passed on but my brother would never buy another one.
There was a big blow-up about the anti-gun, anti-hunting issue with Ford a few years ago.
I wrote to ask why they held those views, and they just claim they have no opinion.
When asked why Ford don't sponsor a cable program like "The Chevy Sportsman", their reply..."We don't want to get involved in controversial issues like hunting."
They can KMA!

The March 2006 issue of
Road & Track features the new Camaro... If I recall from that article, they said it will be 2008 at the earliest and 2009 at the latest.
I just hope they don't mess it up like everything else they touch!
Here is a better picture:

Every Ford (2 cars and 2 trucks) I've ever owned was a disaster.
I shouldn't have clicked into this thread...the horrible experience of Aerostar ownership had almost - almost - faded from my memory (but not to the point where I'd even consider another Ford product)...

We just bought a Chevrolet. I've been a Ford owner since 1986. Counting them up, I've owned 10 of them since then. They have all been good. My 1995 F-150 had 360,000 miles on it and still looks and runs like new. It has been a great truck with the exception of gas mileage. I did put a transmission in it last year, and had to rebuild the read end (no pun intended) two years ago.
I also still have a 1995 Thunderbird with 120,000 miles on it, and except for the odometer, you couldn't tell it was used at all. It has been the most trouble free car I've ever had.
We also have a 2001 Taurus. It survived my children and is now my daily driver with 75,000 miles on it.
We went to Chevy because of an incident with the Ford dealer in Chattanooga who rebuilt the rear end. They also tore up the drive train on the truck. I barely made it back to Mobile from Chattanooga. Our local dealer re-rebult the rear end (under warranty), but I got stuck for the other $1200.00 damage. When I called Ford, they told me that they take no responsibility for the quality of work that the dealers do. Apparently anyone can hang a Ford shingle out there.
While it rubs me a bit wrong, advertising is a business decision. If they were contributing to GLAD, NAMBLA, or some such group, that would warrant a boycott by me, but not just for advertising to a select market group, in a medium only seen by this group.
Cordially,
GE
