Then how will the November ballot not be a free-for-all?

There are state procedures and requirements for getting on the ballot.
I don't know what Texas law is.
Afraid I haven't gotten up to speed on this-
I'm still in shock at losing the Hammer!

Since Mr. DeLay won his recent primary and since his resignation from congress will not be effective until a date after the last possible date for a special election special election to fill his unexpired term, the state republican executive committee will be able to name his replacement for that slot on the November general election ballot.

Let me try this again!
Since Mr. DeLay won his recent primary and since his resignation from congress will not be effective until a date after the last possible date for a special election to fill his unexpired term, the state republican executive committee (SREC) will be able to name his replacement for that slot on the November general election ballot.
There is now no way for Mr. Lampson to win the seat even with Steve Stockman in the mix as the eventual winner must have a majority of the votes. In fact, any runoff in this district may well be between Mr. Stockman and whoever the SREC names for the Delay slot.

Deluding yourself is not a productive way of life, but then it is your life. You should have thought of the last phrase in your sentence first.
Then you never would have written the drivel you did.
Besides, what makes you think I'm the least bit interested in your thoughts, anyway?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???

Matthews broke into Scarborough's show to give him BREAKING NEWS....claiming to have the EXCLUSIVE news that DeLay was going to resign. He went on to say that he was the FIRST with the story.
Rush asked DeLay who stated that he gave the story EXCLUSIVE to Allen of TIME and it was ALLEN who broke the story LONG before Matthews.

If you just want to hit and run. Post comments and get no response you are surely in the wrong place.
You wrote nonsense and I called you on it.
You don't like that......so be it!

FOTFLOL!
Oh, that is rich!
Thank you.
HEY! Breaking news (maybe) GRAND JURY has been convened in D.C. in the Cynthia McKinney matter.
Not really exicted... considering it's a D.C. GJ.

Thanks. I had heard that there were witnesses who gave sworn affidavits immediately following the 'punch'.

I heard that interview today, and this is great news! The Dimwits think they have gotten rid of the Hammer, but I hope this will end up biting them in the collective butt. I hope he's even more of a nightmare for them out of Congress than he was when he was in! Hammer, please hurt 'em!
