It's not who you no, it's who you yes.

Seems to me time will soon tell if she's going to be a hit or a miss.
Till then, she's hardly worth a thought.

To all
The good news about Katie Couric is she is even more of an intellectual lightweight then Rather.
She is a complete product of the TV age. The depth of knowledge goes no farther then her teleprompter.

We will need to do to her what we did to Dan Blather and take her Haughtiness down!

Great poll. It looks as though she won't last long, then? One can hope.
Not only is she smelly with liberalism, she's just plain annoying.

We will need to do to her what we did to Dan Blather and take her Haughtiness down!It would be a waste of time and energy.
She will take herself down without any help.

The next year, she filled in when co-host Deborah Norville took maternity leave and her "girl next door demeanor helped her land the job permanently. Let's get this staright. She's the bimbo version of Deborah Norville?

Part of being an anchor involves editing the news and choosing the stories to read, IIRC.
This means that CBS News is going to join the BBC and al-Jazeera in offering news with a [anti-American] viewpoint

Does it matter? Lenin, Marx, Stalin, Mao, Mugabe, Ortega, Chavez. Does it matter? Left is freakin' left and they're all bad.

Has anyone asked "Katie" if she's considered a lobotomy as an option? She's been there, done that.
That is why they hired her.

Mrs. OldPossum says that Miss Katie will fail because people don't want to hear someone chirp the news.

But "Katie Couric is not the girl next door. She is wealthy, powerful, and according to critics a temperamental diva, Ponte writes Well hell, she's perfect.

It seems certain men are attracted to the perky pinko's legs, and she undoubtedly knows it. Look for a plexiglas anchor desk to materialize!;)
To: Aussie Dasher
My favorite picture of Couric, the day George Bush won.
I just show it to anyone who says network news isn't biased.
Actually, FR should have a photo gallery of election night and day after photos. Katie crying, Judy Woodruff crying, Dan Rather looking like he wanted to fall down...

So, Couric is revealed as a supporter, or at least a potential supporter, of extreme genital mutilation.
One does hope CBS keeps her away from young children.
