Exactly. The 1986 law was suppose to secure our borders and keep more illegals from getting in, but that didn't work. The enforcement part never gets enforced. It's all about the amnesty.

I would have preferred to see COMPROMISE in order to get the fence/wall built. Now its a win win for the RATS. The PUBS "only want to deport your relatives" and the PUB base will not be as fired up in Nov. since the problem continues.

Frist should introduce a bill right now to stop illegals and stop all benefits to them immediately. SCOTUS says we have to pay their healthcare and education costs - Bullshi*!
We need to grow some balls and start unifying around what makes us American not some hyphenated gobly gook crap. The illegals should be sent packing and the Rep who dont vote the will of the people and enforce the damn laws should be kicked out of office in 06 or 08.
It was a bad bill, but I worry that this means there will be NO immigration legislation. I'm just furious at everyone. Sure, the 'Rats did their best to block it (as they do anything if they think it will hurt the President), but the Republicans are in the majority. If they'd grow a spine, we might have had some decent legislation, and it might have been pushed through despite all the bomb-throwing by the 'Rats. I'm disgusted at the whole lot of them.
