OK. Who will be the first to write an "angry-email diatribe at Bill Clinton" (whatever that is). We need further clarification from our "leader", Seattle P.I. columnist Joel Connelly - should the angry e-mail be addressed to Bill Clinton or Mr. Connelly? Or is "e-mail" just another way of saying Free Republic post?

What has Mr. Connelly written in the past to incur the wrath of Freepers?

How mush does the DNC pay all the media outlets to bash the President and Republicans?

What is this fools problem!? "If this post gets on freerepublic.com, people will point out the hypocrisy in my writing, so I will deal with it now." What a maroon.

Rich Republicans paid $2,100 apiece to get their pictures taken backstage with Cheney

As opposed to even richer Democrats like Maria Cantwell?

If, as is not uncommon, this column gets sent out on the right-wing FreeRepublic.com Web site, angry e-mail diatribes at Bill Clinton will follow.

Free Republic is mentioned in this sentence:
"If, as is not uncommon, this column gets sent out on the right-wing FreeRepublic.com Web site, angry e-mail diatribes at Bill Clinton will follow."

I want instructions about where and how to send these e-mails. As a right-winger, I'm sure Mr. Connelly thinks I am too stupid to figure this out (or what to write) on my own. I need a Seattle P.I. columnist to tell me what to think and what to say.

What a WHINER (the author).
It doesn't even rise to the level of journalism.

Much to this jackasses' chagrin, I'm sure, I've never heard of him (the "writer", I mean). At least these nitwits ADMIT the "great Clintoon" abused the system. If it's something all Presidents have done, is it really "abuse"?

I hope this is an editorial, since it is such blatant politically motivated speech, written in what barely passes as a newspaper---even in the northwest.

And, Hell yes, I'll send them a "Clinton diatribe" email----since they insist!

On the actual topic of the President and Vice President's travel - we have to keep them safe - its too important to do otherwise and as long as we remain a Republic our leaders will need to travel and be involved in politics and fund raising.

Perhaps the critics would prefer we do away with elections?

Is little Joel being ...negative... here?!

Joel Connelly's Dirty Tricks

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer's political columnist, Joel Connelly, laments the negative tone of the presidential campaign:

If the first attack ads are any indication -- as well as the unrelentingly negative stuff e-mailed to the media -- America's political climate from Washington, D.C., to this Washington is polluted, acrid and unhealthy to voters and other living things.
But in the nearly 1,000 word column, only 44 words are devoted to criticizing Democrat attack ads, the other 900+ words criticize Republicans. He even goes so far as to equate the state Republican Party's "Who Is John Kerry?" web page with convicted Watergate-era dirty-trickster Donald Segretti.

Connelly saw no need to mention the state Democratic Party's web page of partisan attacks on Republicans or its advertisement for "Bush Lied" yard signs.Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at March 17, 2004 10:06 AM

The 'Toon was on the road campaigning constantly--for 8 years! Relatively speaking, my guess is that Bush & Cheney have reduced these costs.

Sounds like good ol' Joel needs to go back to school to learn the definition of "journalism", or is he what passes for an editor at this yellow rag?

It's rather surprising the paper isn't called the "Seattle Democrat".

Since Mr. Connelly has given us a written invitation to send email, maybe he just enjoys "fan email". He probably doesn't get much otherwise.
