I had to miss so many of Tony's shows the last few months due to work scheduling..but I always read the threads later.
I think we should give the judge and Brian a fair trial- knowing that NO ONE will replace Tony..but they may do a fine job. When Brian sat in for Tony a few months ago he did well..asks unusual questions.
We miss you Tony, and are cheering from the sidelines!
I don't know anyone who opposes legal immigration. Maybe they are out there but their numbers must be infinitesimal. It's the illegal part we don't like and really I don't think we're going to stand for anymore.

My ONLY point through this controversy is that we have to make LEGAL immigration more feasible and with regular policies out of BICE so that ILLEGAL immigration isn't the only realistic way in. One of the problems I DO agree with is that the whole immigration system is broken and badly needs repair.
Ali, that video catches the essence of the true forces behind the protests. People need to know what is driving all of this.
BTW: The Hispanic fanatic that spoke on Fox around 9:05AM+/- should have seen your video. He tried to claim less than 2% of marchers waved Mexican flags. You video belies that!
My son cannot get a job on a farm, landscaping or any type of work like this around here. Last summer, he couldn't find a job. There are people to fill a lot of these jobs. If illegals are not paying taxes and they are getting free health care,etc; I'd rather pay the farmer. :)
Instead of flipping burgers, HS students could work on local truck farms, as my 2 sons did, and learn the value of hard work and appreciation for farmers.

The LEGAL immigration system has been a nightmare for years and years. BICE has been the redheaded stepchild of the government for as long as I can remember.

I just posted that also. That last segment annoyed me. My son wants to work outside on farm or landscaping, there are no jobs here for him to do that type of work.
Agree .. but alot of parents don't strongly suggest their kids get a job .. or at least up my way they don't

Exactly. We fixed the Passport office which was JUST as screwed up in the late 50s and 60s. This could be done with some reasonable adjustment of the law and more importantly bringing technology into BICE. If the Congress will spend the money and DO it. Because if they don't, you are still going to have the same amount of illegal immigration no matter how against the law it is, because if you can't relieve the pressure legally, it WILL be relieved illegally. It has been this way not just for the US, but for countries through history back to the Greek and Roman empires.
