Then in the "enlightened communities" they will have cop cars drive by with the device and round up all the smokers (and place them in re-education camps) wherever they may be. :-(This is going to be darn hard to do in northern Maine in the winter what with all the wood furnaces going. LOL

Those cornfields are going to be perfect hiding places for the darling little angels to sneak daddy's cigerettes when he's sawing logs in his easy chair and not keeping an eye on them. And that's the truth. LOL
I remember afte I started smoking at age 16 (peer pressure), my parents rolled their own. I volunteered to roll them. Every fifth one hit my lap! They were Buglers and horrible. No filters. Ugh! But, every fifth one hit my lap. hehe!

I know where he lives. I should get a child car seat and a baby doll, light up a stogie and drive past his house a few times.

I'm sure you're sincere in your anti-smoking views, but sincerity in service to socialism is not a virtue; it's a vice worse than smoking.

but sincerity in service to socialism is not a virtue; What socialism? Calling people who smoke in closed areas with kids abusive? Telling smokers that their methods of stoping the smoking bans are doomed for failure because they ignore the real reasons for them? Pointing out that if smokers were more courteous, the nonsmokers would be also? Which socialism exactly?

Do you believe the state can go onto private property and tell people they can't use a legal product in a lawful way?

You would bet wrong.
Just me--cigars.
Nothing ticks me off more than anti-smoking fanatics.
There are so many things I dislike about other people's way of living, but it would never occur to me to try to use the law to restrict their foibles.
The "regulation of fat" issue in going to be in our face very very soon. In many socialist medicine countries there is already talk of limiting health care to those whose lifestyles don't meet with the approval of the state.
Wake up!
Your liberties are at risk--and if you are too blind to see that I have no intention of following you over the cliff of a totalitarian future.

I tend to occasionally spell words incorrectly but I have never called anyone an idiot when I don't agree with them.
I did not call anyone with whom I disagree an idiot. I called people who intentionally and willfully harm their children idiots.

And your statement is ridiculous. What difference does it make to you if we smoke or not? And we smoke and we vote!
Poke a hole in any of my arguments and I will show you my references that back what I say. Go ahead. I dare you.
Here's my signature block, btw. You won't see it in here too often.
