Well my question is this: "Are the people of Rhode Island going to keep electing him like Mass-a-chits have done with the swimmer?"
Of course, because MA and RI are less free states of the Republic and more feifdoms for the Rum Runner Clan.

It should be noted that Patches' environmentalism has made him the most famous and outspoken climatologist in the country.

Curious. The reputation of "Patches" Kennedy, so far as I had heard, was that he was a witless wonder, the wonder being that he had enough brain function to keep his lungs breathing and heart pumping..

As someone pointed out the other day, Patches is the runt of the litter of the runt of the litter.
It shows.

Poor little rich kid, making over $100Gs/year carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. I recommend that he takes a look around or to take a walk through a hospital some time.

"I felt he has always been striving to live up to people's expectations of what a Kennedy should be. The weight of that must be tremendous." Be back in a few minutes. I have to puke.

The Democratic operative said: "He's like the boss' son who sort of falls into the family business and doesn't really belong."Nice to know that you don't give enough of a &#$%*@ about the guy's constituients in order to replace him with a grownup.

That has got to be the quote of the year.

The "weight on his shoulders"is what is known as a HANGOVER.
The writer talks of his brushes with "addiction" like addiction is some kind of drive by shooting having nothing to do with Patrick.
Yep, this is a Kennedy "curse", a "tragedy" and poor ole Patrick didn't have a thing to do with it, not a thing.

Well, he's got the drug use, alcoholism down pat. Now just kill/rape a woman(G-D forbid) and he's just like the rest of those sick b*st*rds.

"I felt he has always been striving to live up to expectations of what a Kennedy should be."In that regard, he's certainly met, perhaps even exceeded expections.

I have absolutely no love for the Kennedy's at all, but their is a lot of truth in this statement. He has no business in Congress and just needs to go home and really get some help. Hopefully his family will just leave him alone and let the professionals do their job.

The people of Rhode Island are perfectly represented by this lush and his buddy in the Senate....Chaffee.......
So many states have such poor representation in Congress.....

yup--here are the lyrics. Patches was a top 40 hit for soul/blues singer Clarence Carter. It was also done as a country song by Alabama, I believe (and B.B. King did a version as part of a country-and-blues-get-together
compilation...)
http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/Lyrics/1970/231970.html
"Carter was capable of deep pathos ("Patches")... After "Patches" (1970), Carter never reached the Top 40 again..."
To: Vision
Agreed. He needs to break free of the Kennedy thumb and become his own man.
