I got a speeding ticket in Springdale SC for doing 37 in a 35.
Kendleton, Texas used to be a well known speed trap.
One of their officers was interviewed by the local news and asked, "Don't you think it's a bit harsh to give tickets for doing 56 or 57 in a 55 zone?" His response was, "The law says 55."
Kendleton got it's paybacks when it was discovered they were not sending the state government enough percentage of the fines collected. Kendelton was cookin' it's books. They got busted, town lost lots of money and no more speedtraps.
