This happened a couple of years before I moved here. There wasn't much doubt from what I've learned of the case that he murdered/raped the young lady.

The problem with doing DNA after 20 years is that the evidence is tainted from being handled/stored for so long according to the local experts. We've had DNA testing for years, why is he just now asking for it to be done is the better question...just another delaying tactic.

I might be wrong but I think he is actually retired but maintains active senior status just to interrupt Capitol Punishment cases and act on behalf of other Liberal Causes. If the Liberals get desperate about anything the case always seems to end up on his desk. More or less a self appointed state governor from the bench.

Unfortunately he has been released to kill again. He is a social path. They released him nearly 3 years ago, in the Chistiania, TN area. He maxed out his 'good behavior time' and there was not a thing I could do to make him serve his full sentence of 20 years. He served 14.6 years of it.

It is as you remember he is on senior status, but sits long enough to make sure murderers will continue to live.

Carry Ann Medlin's mom, Deborah Groseclose's sister have fought long and hard to have nixon removed, only to get the short end of the stick from our US Congress.

Well, they did stay Reid's execution till they can determine whether he is competent to give up his appeals.
