At a parade in Utah on Saturday, reaction from spectators framed the issues in stark terms.

"We need to get rid of the riffraff!" an elderly woman yelled, cheering on Jacob.

But another voter sided with Cannon. "If the truth be known, we should all leave the country and give it back to the Native Americans."

That sums up the race very succintly.

I'd rather have someone who occasionally makes gaffes verbally than whose voting gaffes jeopardize national security, we'll see if the voters agree.

Are you for total portability of labor between the US, Canada, and Mexico?

Absolutely not. But on the other hand, I'm not opposed to having non-citizens working in the country provided they're here legally, pay taxes, etc.

I would like a similar ability to work in Canada or even Mexico.

Not really. Each country should have the right to restrict entry of non-citizens. The right to work in a foreign country should be the decision of that country, not some fundamental right belonging to the individual.
