I could not believe this story. I also cannot believe how stupid the teacher must be. I would write the letter to the teacher and also send it to the principal and superintendent of the school system, along with a copy of the note she left on the child's paper. I'd give them a week to get back in touch with me with what the teacher's punishment will be, and then demand a face-to-face meeting.
She doesn't have a right to interject her political views into her job. She does NOT have the right to slander anyone. There is no "Freedom of Expression" issue for this teacher. She is guilty of transparent political indoctrination and slander. Fire her ass.

It's an outrage indeed. That teacher should be fired. Nothing less than that would be acceptable as far as I'm concerned. If the school didn't fire the teacher, I'd take legal action And I think you're right, Damascus seems right in my head. I need to get in the habbit of opening a Word doc to just jot things on while I work and listen to the show and post here, so I don't forget stuff I know I might want to remember. That would only take a second. :)
I really can't believe how stupid the teacher must be for writing that comment. Like the child was not going to show his parents/grandparents? Did she really think she could get away with doing something that outrageous? I guess so!
I was surprised Rush said she should just write a nice letter to the teacher. I'd be raising some heck if I was the grandma!

I think Rush's instruction to her was because Babbette is a Grandmother and most Grandmothers aren't going to go to a School and raise Cain like that. Well, my Dad's Mom might have because she was always h**l on wheels God bless her :), but most wouldn't. I would be hard pressed to do this, and my wife's a teacher and I think she'd act as ruthlessly as I would. She's as conservative as I and these kinds of teachers really p**s her off. Some of her co workers know to keep their mouth shut around her with their liberal slop, or they get their heads handed to them. I'm told there is blue blood on the walls of the teachers lounge sometimes. I've frequently wanted to be a fly on the wall when some lib teacher say something stupid around my wife. :) I sure never want to cross her. Heheheh.

Yes, Cialis and Levitra both use similar compounds causing the same effect. Pfizer is the only one I'm aware of that has formally filed an FDA request to license for a different use although doctors informally do it all the time. Maybe Rush has a blood pressure problem ;-}
