The saber rattling is getting deafening, but be warned when the Israelis pull it from is scabbard it will make nary a sound.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan expressed concern over the recent incidents and the developing situation in the Palestinian Authority. Annan, who telephoned Prime Minister Ehud Olmert... If I were Olmert, I would have refused to take the call!
I would have taken the call only to ask if he was available to shine my shoes.

Syria would do well to remember the scripture stating "Damascus will be a city of rubble".

No doubt a few phone calls from Komfy Anus will straighten this whole mess out. Actually, they could. All he has to do is contact that UN administered refugee camp where the soldier is being held. Why, I'll bet he's rushing to the phone right now.

Before all is said and done, this is going to get ugly...for the Syrians, and maybe the Egyptians if they flinch toward the Gaza border.

Demonstrating that the Israelis can fly close enough to nuke the place before Syria could even think of responding. Smart move.

Syria claims innocence, and yet: What ever happened to the WMD that Iraq shipped over to them. They seem to claim neutrality while workin in the dark to help terrorists.
Didnt Syria run out the Palestinians and yet: They help them in their terrorist acts and hide the Hamas leader.
It seems Syia is stirring the crap with a long stick they deny holding.
