The Telegraph is probably the most conservative daily in Britain.

When people stop risking their lives on a daily basis to come here, I'll start worrying about our reputation in the world.

We are the world's preeminent military and economic power. Nobody loves the most powerful and richest people in the neighborhood; it's human nature. The only way we're going to get the rest of the world to love us is to become weaker and poorer. Not a good plan.

People who worry overly much about what other think of them do so out of insecurity. Leftists fretting about our reputation in the world is just another manifestation of the self-loathing that is at the heart of liberalism.

This crap, or something similar, comes out every year at this time.
Hey ... We're celebrating the Fourth of July, and the British are lamenting the Fourth of July.

The Brits always seem to get a bit snippy around the 4th of July. Wonder why?

>>There has probably never been a time when America was held in such low esteem on this side of the Atlantic.<<

I hear this all the time from American business people visiting europe or Euros coming here. The only exception is some Danes who tell me that their resolve to finish the job in Iraq is still strong -that they'll stay as long as we do.

Interestingly enough, you seldom see this sentiment when you're doing business with Europeans or they want something from us. Odd how that seems to play out.

Well over half of those interviewed regard the US as an imperial power bent on dominating the world by one means or another.

You mean like Great Britain was 150 years ago?

I wonder if they appreciate the tourist dollars Americans are spending in England. It's very expensive right now to travel there.

Don't buy into this bilge.

Having failed at everything else now they want to create ill will between the US an Britain.

I am sick of the Corporate Press Liberal/Conservative whores to their advertisers and a cabal of elitists.

The Brits, Aussies, Poles, Japanese and a lot of others have been darn good allies and we need to thank them and ignore the media scum from any side of the house.

So to America's Allies all (those I missed please excuse) thanks. We will not forget your friendship and we will stand with you in defense of your homes as well.

The Brits don't have to worry. We still love them...

So sad, but what can we expect with the world media bashing him daily for all of these years? I wish they could know the truth, but can't see a way to get past the MSM to wake them up!

The Telegraph is probably the most conservative daily in Britain.

They may be great. They also fall into the same trap as the US media by headlining divisive surveys (polls by another name) of some random sampling of people who are not at work.

I have been living in Britain for over a year. I find this survey amusing. Especially the part about Britons not wanting to visit the U.S. Yet 75% of the british want to leave the UK because it is an overtaxed, overpriced politically correct totalitarian regime.

the reason they think America is "unequal" and "racist" is because we dont have a totalitarian socialist nanny state that supports lazy shiftless bums, and the fact we do not jail people in America for expressing politically incorrect opinions.
