I wondered the other day why they didn't do this and I wonder about the al Qaeda sites.

So they hack into the enemies broadcast system and the best they can do is issue a couple threats?
Why bother?
Seems to me there would be better ways to leverage this like some message aimed at turning the viewer against the enemy.

IDF intelligence unit manages to hack al-Manar broadcast, plant caricature of Hizbullah's leader with caption: 'Your days are numbered'
I'll bet a lot of arabs spit out their falafel when they saw that.
To: Alouette
I hope they repeat this with Al-Jeezera, the voice of lunacy.

Seems to me there would be better ways to leverage this like some message aimed at turning the viewer against the enemy. That's what I was thinking. They should create some fake Hez broadcasts, splice footage together. LOL - they could announce Hezbullah's surrender!

cool. I bet there were a few Ayraabs with that surprised look on their face when they tuned in to that evening's "heroic martyrdom news report". I look forward to the next broadcast with pictures of nasrallah with his swollen tongue sticking out of his mouth like Zarkman.

"Additionally, Hizbullah and al-Manar internet sites also received "special treatment" by Israeli technical specialists, and several were erased from the internet."
Good work.

The United States should have clamped down on iraqi media after the invasion of that country. Apparently the israelis are a little more logical, in that respect.
To: Alouette
One would think that a TV transmission antenna/tower is an easily identifiable target and also that there are rather few of them there. Why then is it so difficult to plug that "manar"?
