The girl has been blessed with uncanny talent and is merely taking advantage of it. Obviously, I wouldn't watch anything that has a sexual overtone or extreme violence at her age, but I doubt that she's going to be one of those child stars who'll later on become a trivia question.
The world is sick and it's not getting any better.
I don't mind tough subject matter, it's just that it's usually handled poorly.
I recently bought Long Day's Journey into Night with Kevin Spacey thinking it might be good for a chuckle, but holy cow that guy can actually act!
Sadly, nobody seems to want to make movies for adults anymore.
Sadly I have not seen an adult movie in a while I have 2 kids 4 and 2 all I know are all kids shows.
Well surprise, libs homeschool too.
Her parents weren't too concerned that to exercise her acting talent they had to get her enrolled in some dirty movies. What, no theaters where she lives? (Theater acting requires MORE talent because you get only one take!)
...and while we're on the subject when did the phrase "adult movie" become synonymous with porn?
I mean, what the hell? You wouldn't want a kid sitting through half the Greek Tragedies and most of Shakespeare.
Blame the euphemizers of filthy material.
"Mommy, was I from your womb untimely ripped?"
"No, the stork brought ya, now shut up and watch Mac get it in the neck."
The Sidney Lumet version from the early 60s is awesome.
How much Shakespeare sells?
How much filth sells?
Now you know why filth comes to mind when they say "adult movies."
Worse, you just know that this film will have the worse scene clips being used by pedophiles forever. Her parents and everyone involved in this production need to get some jail time.
He also did Iceman...apparently the DVD version of Long Day's was made using an inferior print -- or so I was informed.
p.s.
Iceman, by the way, features a very young Robert Redford
Uuum Shakespeare is the most popular writer in the world. The most adapted to film as well. And his writing constitutes some of the most vulgar in the lanugage.
We're talking today bub. The filth vastly outsells Shakespeare, otherwise every porn house would be cranking out Shakespeare instead.
I actually saw a teen movie based on Taming of the Shrew that was very well done. Not for adults, but surprisingly good.
That must have been for TV. The verison of Iceman I know is the Frankenheimer film with Lee Marvin from the early 70s.
It sure sounds like kiddie porn to me.
This poor Fanning child--she will end up like Judy Garland.
Lee Marvin as Hickey? Please...
Porn houses meet a specific market niche. In the Internet age there really aren't that many of them anymore. Shakespeare is vastly more popular and more quoted then any porno ever made.
