"and it's possible I made a mistake," Riley said in a statement released last week"......Oh for the days when Berger was saying "I don't know how those papers got down my pants"......

Man accused of voting twice in Bush- for Gore in election.,
there...fixed.
To: LdSentinal
Riley appeared at the polling place in Oconomowac, Wis., where he had registered to vote just the day before.
During the last few elections haven't we heard Freepers complaining about huge numbers of cars with Illinois plates appearing at voting booths in southern Wisconsin? The RATs are such sleazeballs.

That's not illegal in Chicago.
He's only in trouble because he didn't vote more times. /sarcasm?
To: nopardons
Right what a moron. He should have said, "I was in Wisconsin and registered and voted there. Someone who knew I was in Wisconson must have voted for me here."
Who could disprove a statement like that? Maybe some poll worker, but who would remember so many elections later? Maybe he has an ex-wife and is trapped?

That's my line. Been complaining about dual registration for years. It is quite easy to do when you have two places of residence and they are not crossmatched at the voting booth.

"My best recollection is that I was splitting my time between Wisconsin and Illinois and it's possible I made a mistake," Riley said in a statement released last week"
Huh?
And this guy is the former CEO of the University of Illinois Medical Center and a former law professor at Loyola University?

Unless these people get some serious jail time, they are going to continue to make a mockery of our voting system.

There are newspaper articles about that very subject. I believe they were printed after the 2000 presidential election debacle. No big lib paper such as the NY Times picked up on these investigations, of course.

Mr. Riley, see if you can fill in the blank:
Riley used a different word to throw us off the trail,
But mistake is to eraser as felony is to ________.

Yup.
Time for Republicans to bring in very tough laws with sharp teeth, to put vermin who vote more than once, or are illegal alien voters ,in jail for a very long time, plus stiff fines.

As retarded as this is, you can easily find as many republicans as democrats cheating in elections. It's not like one side is soley responsible for the corruption of elections.
The whole system is a mess.

To which you could also add convicted perjurers and felony voting-rights activists.
