The Dems will never be penalized for violating election laws. I don't know why, maybe because the rest of us are just too nice. In the last election the Dem leader said on TV that he wasn't doing any campaigning in Calif. because the other groups had agreed to be there. He clearly implied collusion between the party and the groups. But no charges were ever filed. They will continue to get away with this.

Democrats have traditionally relied on large, soft-money donations from unions, while Republicans relied more on small, “hard-money” donations from mom-and-pop donors. When McCain-Feingold outlawed soft-money donations to the parties, Republicans were not unduly hampered, but Democrats flew into a panic. They faced the real possibility of bankruptcy.

Enter George Soros. After forcing the Democrats into a fiscal crisis, he then offered to rescue them. He set up a network of non-profit, “issue-advocacy” groups – the Shadow Party – and invited all the big Democrat donors to contribute to his network. Thus they could still contribute to the Democrat cause, but without giving directly to the Party. The Party became dependent on Soros to raise campaign contributions which the law now forbade the Party itself to raise.

Wake up, dems -- it's really happening. The point of no return is coming...

Center for Economic and Policy Research ^ | 2006 | Mark Weisbrot
This overview article by Mark Weisbrot will be published in the next issue (Vol. 36, No. 4, 2006) of the International Journal of Health Services. It looks at Latin America's political shift over the last several years. The author argues that these changes have largely been misunderstood and underestimated here for a number of reasons: Latin America's unprecedented growth failure over the last 25 years is a major cause of these political changes and has not been well-understood The collapse of the IMF's influence in Latin America, and middle-income countries, is also an epoch-making change The availability of alternative sources...

I'll pick up the book this week. I'm sure it will be full of information.

I'm constantly referring to "Hillary's Secret War" and the "Seven Myths of Gun Control". This one, too, I'm sure will be loaded!

Thank you for your research, Richard and David.

IMHO, Soros exemplfies what for so long many in the CFR and elsewhere have planned on achieving. That is one world government, lead by a cadre of the most world's most wealthy, and geared toward setting up a socialist state. They control all with their many levels of "usefull idiots".
I strongly suspect Soros is just one of the shadow players I have earlier on eluded to as the men behind the curtain.
Some laugh at the thought of there being some major movement/conspiracy to create a one world government. I don't. To many things writen over the years are difficult to ignore.
How Soros fits into the men that run the world behind the scenes I have not a clue. But these people influence governments more then most of us would care to admit.
At any rate. It would be very difficult to think Soros is anything but a far left liberal socialist. Now. Why should such people as this want to maintain such a position with so much accumlated wealth. Why had he not long ago totally embraced a conservative capitalistic attitude. After all he has used such a system to make his billions in essence, via. the channels it provides.
America as many have written over the years, is the last bastone of real freedom on a large scale. America must be converted into a socialistic state for these one worlders to achieve their goal of world domination. One cannot have America as it has evolved over the past two hundred years plus getting in the way. It must be used. It's resources used to gain more wealth for those that would eventually like to see it crumble.
Soros is simply one in a long line of people that have roots in the early deals of Bretton Woods and their European counter parts.

People in the streets in Mexico with a leftist candidate demanding a vote recount. Sounds like the Soros mo.

Those Mexican socialist surely love George Soros. They know the deal. And they probably go to sleep each night and pray on a prayer rug, embrodened with an image of Trosky, as they face a statue of Lenin.

Besides skimming millions off the top of government & union pension funds it seems the Clinton-Burkle-Yucaipa mob may also accept bribes from foreigners.

More Financial Influence At Chez Clinton (Updates)

. . .

The arrangement between the billionaire and the former president -- and hopeful presidential spouse -- allows Burkle to stuff tens of millions of dollars into the bank accounts of the Clintons in return for no significant work on behalf of the fund itself.

BEATING HILLARY

. . .

It might turn out that the Emir of Dubai has funneled millions in income to the Clintons through billionaire Ron Burkle and the Yucaipa Corporation.

It wasn't a question. It was a statement. I thought this was the perfect forum to make the statement. My heartfelt apologies to both Mr. Poe and yourself if I in anyway offended either of you by mis-addressing the post.

It is these people that need to be exposed and fired. They are dangerous to the wellbeing of our country. The 'new tone' in DC has been a constant thorn in the side of those who want to protect us. I'm fed up with the traitors in our midst. Hopefully the next Republican administration will take care of business.

= = = = = =

I STRONGLY AGREE.

Words are inadequate to express my appreciation to you for your patriotic efforts. Great appreciation.

These are hairy times. And set to get worse. All the good we can do best be done energetically now. Now is the time to stand up and be counted on the side of patriotism and righteousness against the evil looming over the land and the planet.

Um, Mr. Soros IS of Jewish origin. The only guy who has ever beaten him in currency speculation so far has been Mohammed Malathir in Malaysia, so I doubt he's such a friend of Islam either. Malathir cost him a cool $1.2 billion, simply by limiting the speed with which Soros could trade currency contracts. It did little to inhibit actual trade, but oh how the globalists did howl! I wish I still could get into The Economist, but they published a very interesting series of (pro-globalist) commentaries on the subject.
