That's one way to end the car curse...
"harelip".
My son had been one of the one percent of "working actors" (leading man) before "reality t.v.", started. He told me it had removed approximately 14000 acting jobs a year (thats why a lot of major stars are doing commercials and getting bit parts on t.v.). Now he's seeking other employment, and (at least for now) giving up his dream.
If you're looking for a great dealership experience, don't expect it from Toyota. Toyota Has ranked below industry average in J.D. Power's Customer Service Index for at least the past four years. In 2006 it ranks 26 of 36 brands. While Toyota has a Teflon image, it is starting to have quality problems and recalled more vehicles than it sold in 2006.
Honda is the only non-luxury import to rank above industry average in J.D. Power's CSI and SSI (sales satisfaction) surveys although Hyundai is closing the gap quickly.
I have a Hyundai Elantra and overall have been very pleased.
True.
I disagree. This is divisive, racist crap of the lowest order. I didn't think I could possibly hate reality TV any more than I already did. I was wrong.
Anyone who has watched "Survivor," which is just silly fun, knows that this whole controversy is just stupid. Those of you who are saying otherwise obviously don't watch the show.
Last season they started out with 4 tribes: older men, younger men, older women, younger women. No cries of sexism or age discrimination, and they scrambled the tribes on the second episode. Since the tribes have to vote their own members out, early conflict will be within the racial groups, not race against race.
Turned out that the audience favorite last season -- who managed to last till the final four -- was an older black nurse with no prior experience in the outdoors, who manipulated everyone with her good humor and personality.
Survivor is not a racist show, and this is just a successful ploy for ratings. You'd think they'd get credit for choosing a 3/4 minority cast.
As for the GM story, the article plainly states that the ad buy was decided long before the makeup of the tribes was announced.
Sounds to me like a fun season. Looking forward to some escapist entertainment.
Good, may it be the end of all so-called "reality shows." '24' is less scripted than these things.
"Sounds to me like a fun season. Looking forward to some escapist entertainment"
The first sensible post I've seen so far! Just wish I got off at 7 instead of 8 so I can watch!
So, tell us, what other prime time or weekly shows have been dropped?
You "think" it is a coincidence? I know you know it is not.
yitbos
The last "Survivor" also divided its contestants into four groups: old men, old women, young men, and young women. Nobody squawked about that.
They dropped their support of this show, but I bet they would jump at the chance to advertise during the Latin Grammy Awards, or sponser the NAACP, or any other race based activities.
Divisiveness? Like the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP?
"How could anybody be so desperate for ratings?" City Councilman John Liu asked last week.
Except Survivor is not desperate for ratings. After something like 12 seasons, the show still ranks near the top overall and at the top in its time slot.
Think about what you said there... now we may ask: Why was a car company even in this situation?
The answer may be related to: Why won't GM stop making horrible vehicles?
