"Iranian Rights"

Can you provide some information about the context of this picture? And what does Katemi have to do with it?

"FDR was seeing a bigger threat well before Pearl Harbor, but the US was mostly on the sidelines."

Looking back at history can bring some strange information. For example, the oldest Kennedy boy, whom pappa Kennedy wanted to groom for president, was killed flying for England before we entered WWII. When I was in college in Iowa in 1958, I entered the student union where a table of fraternity guys, undoubtedly Republican in sympathies was singing:

"Franklin Roosevelt told the people how he felt,
they almost believed what he said.
I hate war and so does Eleanor,
but we won't be safe 'til everybody's dead."

I went home at Christmas and asked my mother about this song and she busted up laughing at the thought of the fraternity boys singing this since it was an old Communist inspired anti war song from before Hitler attacked the Communist USSR. The left and the right were both anti war until Russia was attacked, whereupon the left changed its tune.

It's not al bad. If dems win, maybe the Iraqi forces will read writing on the.

Step up and squash the insurgency, or be consumed by it.

So the next few months I think we will see an "Iron fist" in Iraq. This may just be the first phase. Figure they rounded up hundreds, and those hundreds will start talking.

Probably taking names, and getting ready to finish the job.

Yes, the writing will be 'dont trust the Americans, join the other winning side.'

Jeez, have we no sense of the strategic to actually buy the Democrat lies about who these things work?

Will only happen if we stay and help it happen.

Excellent. I'd love to see 200 dead and 14 captured, but you can't have everything I guess. Where would you keep it all?

THey might want to watch it about using the words "al-queda", "coup", and "Iraq" in the same headline.

Iraqi security forces killed 14 "terrorists" and arrested almost 200 suspects, the government said Monday, in a spectacular follow-up to their earlier capture of an alleged top-level Al Qaeda leader.

.
.
.
Don't like the kill vs arrest ratio.

really hate the "captured" part. Dead terrorists are much better than a catch and release program

I imagine the Iraqis have ways of extracting information out of these scumbags before they finish living their sorry lives out in prison.

I thought that al-Qaeda was dominated by Shia theology and that they woudln't lift a finger to prevent the destruction of their Sunni cousins.

Do you remember the pathetic attempt by the news media at the time when Zarheadchopper was killed where they tried to claim that he was "mistreated" while he was dying?

A point that seems lost on many folks. Some have this idea that if we just bring all of our troops home that for some reason the terrorists won't follow them.

Or worse, the terrorists will be waiting for them at the airport

Good news today, huge Oil find in Gulf near New Orleans.

I dont see any thread on it, but this is huge, could give us more incentive to cut off Iran.

Imagine all Oil in US flowing from our own source!

Its only a matter of time till Algore starts calling the Gulf "Pristine waters"!

"Oil find in Gulf, FR thread."

Yes, there is a thread. It is listed near the bottom of the major stories listed on the right on the beginning FR page.

"They are not only not the strong horse, they are becoming the weak, swayback, stove up nag that can't pull a wagon anymore."

Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

But don't forget, arabs change horses at the drop of a turban!

I was going to write 'in midstream' but...'at the drop of a turban' made more sense than 'halfway up a sand-dune' if you get my meaning...
