They can recover as long as Sunnis fear being butchered by the Shia militias. Zarqawi for all his evil was no fool. He understood the only way al-Qaeda could survive in Iraq was if the Sunni public feared for their lives because of the Shia and saw al-Qaeda as a potental protector against the Shia militias.
Destroy the Madhi Army you destory al-Qaeda in Iraq.

The Iraqi homeland defense department will achieve critical mass sometime soon, and that will be the end of this terror-guerilla business.

"As GWB says it is better to fight them over there than have to fight them in America."
Very true, but if we are attacked here, that phrase will be the first one the Dhimmicrats use against him.

Iraqi security forces killed 14 "terrorists" and arrested almost 200 suspects, the government said Monday, in a spectacular follow-up to their earlier capture of an alleged top-level Al Qaeda leader. More evidence of what we've heard outside the MSM: these bad ass terrorists cry like little girls once they are in custody.

But, that said even they are going to have problems making up for the damage that has been done to them over the past three months. The way the al Qaeda sees it, they only have to keep the pressure up for two more months. Then Pelosi's "retreat in defeat" juggernaut will roll and bring victory to the terrorists in the US Congressional elections.

I had to click on your screen name when I read, "inverted commas," to see if you're from the UK. In the US we call them "quotation marks." Welcome to FR.

The swift followup take downs suggests that the Iraqi forces may have learned something of the swift tempo, rapid intel exploitation that was used in the hunt for Zarqawi.

Destroy the Madhi Army you destory al-Qaeda in Iraq.I certainly agree with that. I do believe that Maliki has received permission from Ali Sistani to do that very thing in the coming days.

And obviously they did not use torture because as we all know torture doesn't work.Certainly not, he heard confession was good for the soul and thought he'd give it a stab. *G*

You have to check to see "Who" captured them......the media hogtied American forces or the Iraqis who have no constraints on kindness to those killing them.

Well, duh, of course the dems will blame Bush - that is their sole purpose in politics.
We are playing their game when we continually play their talking points for them. They don't really have to say anything, we will bring it up and chastise ourselves - no matter how "cute and sarcastic" we are being.

Of course he was read his rights, treated gently and otherwise given the sort of treatment that would please the ACLU, Andrew Sullivan and the Dems.

Notice how Agence France-Presse (AFP) put the word terrorist in quotes. Those enemies of Iraq are terrorists, whether AFP agrees or not. And the Iraqi Security Forces are some of the best allies the United States has against terrorists.
