.....ability to regenerate has been incredible...... Much the same as the policy this President has continued with in the non-securing of America's southern border against the illegal invasion of foreigners that are placing an unfair burden on the taxpayers and infrastructure of the US, the same could be said of this President's extending that very same dangerous policy to Iraq.

Don't say Torture or Turda and Co will want investigations to make sure his friends have their Rights protected.
Bet those Iraqi interrogators are a real friendly bunch?
Pray for W and Our Troops

Noteworthy that this was done by regular Iraqi Security Forces and not the ISOF.

"I really hate the "captured" part. Dead terrorists are much better than a catch and release program." Agree with you on catch and release when it occurs. But...
"... in a spectacular follow-up to their earlier capture of an alleged top-level Al Qaeda leader."
That's why captured is good.

"Iraqi forces managed to confiscate large caches of weapons during the raid, while planes from the coalition forces bombed a number of areas."Every day, the free Iraqi people make a small step toward stability and independence, unnoticed because....
...every day the media is too busy proclaiming Quagmire and impending defeat for coalition troops - which includes Iraqi troops and police.
God bless all who understand that freedom is a higher aspiration of mankind and have the will and the courage to pay the price to achieve it.

Notice the terrorists are still mentioned within inverted commas. That jumped out at me, too. And the "journalists" never use quotes when talking about "civilians" in Lebanon.

I noticed that too. As if there is no such thing as a "terrorist" and it only some pet name we give to our enemies. Also the top-level leader is noted as alleged. No sympathies there.

Think about it; the Iraqi forces lived under Saddam, Uday and Qusay. Remember Saddam's interrogations? Also they see dozens of their countrymen and fellow officers blown up every day by these Al Qaeda goons. And they know that the only way the coalition forces will leave is for Iraqi forces to get control and stop the killings.
They would not be gentle with a prisoner such as this one.

Try just once to fire a few neurons and stay with the topic of the thread. I did, and this President's continued problems with the concept of a 'Soverign Nation' are troubling.
Hope this helps.

When are the leaders of the insurgency going to be executed? We have been watching these "key leader" " top assistant" arrests for four years now and not a single one has been "brought to justice".
To: jmc1969
Hopefully, their regeneration is from foreign and homegrown al-Qaeda. Attrit them faster than they grow, and it's just a matter of time.
Pres Bush is right. Bring them to Iraq and kill them by eaches and dozens.

(14 al-Qaeda dead and 200 captured) It's a start. Although 200 dead and 14 captured would have been better.

Dead terrorists are much better than a catch and release program Yes, and No. You can't "vigorously interrogate dead terrorists for information on where the others not yet captured or killed might be found.

I note that "lieutenant" is not being used that frequently anymore.
Did Alqaeda quit promoting or don't they have qualified candidates for the "lieutenant" position?
I kind of miss not reading about "lieutenants" being killed or captured. (/sacrasm)
