Actually Savage is pointing out that Saddam kept the Persians from uniting into a larger, more powerful entity. That is, Saddam kept Iran from uniting with Iraq. Savage may be right!
Remember also that the USA supported Saddam during the Iraq/Iran war. My point is that there is a larger picture sometime.
Well pissant what took you so long, Savage just reiterated on his show that the new spike in murder in Iraq is due to the liberal whining that we cannot torture the enemy POW's to get important info. Savage feels there's no reason why we shouldn't and I feel the same way.
However for the sake of the Savage Nation I do not think it would be fair to turn this thread today into another shouting match between you and me. I'll just let you have the last say, because I see that we just have irreconcilable differences about Savage.
Thank you, pissant.
Ooops, posted on yesterday's thread:
Hello fellow infidels. Been rushing around all week. Things have been crazy. Got to take #1 boy to Scouts in a few minutes. Boy, Savage is good tonight. In the car, caught the part where he was talking about pandering to the Muslim journo. I couldn't agree more. Very sickening. I hate the butt licking. I think it was yesterday's thread--looks like it was a lively one.
There is a larger picture, and Savage misses it altother. First, the Shia in Iraq are arabs and have no desire to be ruled by the persian midget in Iran. 2nd, having a US allied Afghanistan on one side and a US allied Iraq on the other side of Iran IS the big picture. That is why Iran (and Syria, mind you) are so afraid, and trying like hell to scramble those plans. They, just like Bush, know what that means even if Savage doesn't.
Pulling out now and allowing a terror state to arise in either Afg or Iraq is suicidal and would negate the tremendous sacrifices in sacred blood and treasure that has brought us this far.
Fair enough. And in fairness and respect back, I agree and will say that Savage is right on many issues, including the borders (which thank God the House stepped up to the plate on today).
Hey there BM, long time no hear on the Savage thread, it's always good to hear from fellow conservatives who appreciate the un-PC world of Savage.
Hope we don't lose you to the Jane Fonda network. Savage now getting a lot of female callers. Unusual to say the least.
I was thinking about the two actors Henry Fonda and Jimmy Stewart the other day. I think they were friends, but Fonda a liberal and Jimmy a conservative if I'm not mistaken. Okay, here's the spouse list for Fonda:
Shirley Fonda (3 December 1965 - 12 August 1982) (his death)
Afdera Franchetti (10 March 1957 - January 1961) (divorced)
Susan Blanchard (28 December 1950 - May 1956) (divorced) 1 child
Frances Seymour Brokaw (16 September 1936 - 14 April 1950) (her death) 2 children
Margaret Sullavan (25 December 1931 - 1932) (divorced)
Here's the Spouse list for Jimmy Stewart:
Gloria Stewart (9 August 1949 - 16 February 1994) (her death) 2 children
Now I wonder who was the happier person and lived a more fulfilled life. I don't know anything about Jimmy Stewart's children but Henry sure left quite a legacy of nuts.
If Savage listened to his own words he'd realize he already has his dream. He reads scripture regularly, ties things together with allegory, and plumbs the depths of human frailty every show.
You may lose me to Jane and company--if I get a hankering for in depth discussions about vaginas, etc. Of course Rosie and her discussion about her "fur" will have me riveted in the morning hours ;)
I didn't get pinged either. I started posting on yesterday's thread by mistake.
I'll check back later folks. It was short but sweet.
Ha ha I.Q.,? Your post just illustrates to the Savage Nation just how low yours is. You're not fit to polish Savage's shoes.
Nice and accurate way of putting it.
Don't you think the "Infidel Nation" is a fitting and appropriate name for Savage listeners.........c'mon c'mon, say it is.
Savage says he would like to marry his dog Teddy. LOL!!
It is early for me, but I got worked up listening to Jerry Doyle...........he is pretty good compared to everyone except the master........that I had to get home and participate.
Savage is right, that Peta guy has a "lisp", code word for being queer, playing a clip concerning the killer stingray case.
Now ranting against media propaganda that seems to be always ready to indict anything that's "White, Male Christian".
