Well said. It was interesting: there's that one scene where the two hyperleftist stars of the film, Robbins and Penn have a conversation on the back deck.
It was starkly revealed there what a good actor Robbins can be and how awful Penn can be.
Penn's absolute worst may be "She Loves Me" and his best is either with pacino in "Carlito's Way" or "Sweet And Lowdown."

Everybody has freedom of speech, even if you are a dumbass. We have a press with such weinees as Matt Laurar Barbara WaWa etc. who give these dummies a pulpit to speak from. Ronald Regan was an actor but he ran for something and got elected. Arnold did as well. If Sean Penn, George Clooney, Michael J Fox, Babara Streisand, the Meathead Reiner, the Dixie Chicks had to get elected to anything, it would be a laughable result, yet our press gives them equivalence with people who run and win elections. It's too bad.

Penn is a world class bozo but he is a great actor with a wide range.

He should have won for 'Dead Man Walking' but lost to Nicholas Cage's own mannered fakery in 'Leaving Las Vegas'. Try convincing people to watch a film witten and directed by Tim Robbins and starring Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon but apart from the Christ symbolism at the end it was quite even handed and mature. John Simon of National Review liked it and he didn't like anything.

LOL! For starters, a thinking person would asume that he's too stupid to even fill out the paperwork to get his name on the ballot.

Might be from the ASSociated press, but I was actually commenting on who was promoting it. And the education level of the new "politician". *shudder*

He has to at least give the voters the impression that he may have a brain.

Sean Penn seems to be obsessed with movies about political assassinations lately. If I were the Secret Service, I would be paying close attention.

Sean Penn?
Didn't he play the flying saucer in "Plan 9 from Outer Space?"
I'd like to see him in a role as the first squish in "Godzilla Does Hollywood."

"You know what the honest truth is? I don't want to," Penn said. "It's hard enough to go out there and party at a film festival and shake so many hands and smile, you know? I mean, forget it."Yeah, it's a hard-knock life, all right.

...redistributing to the poor...Wonder whether Penn gives to the poor. Sure would like to see one of his income tax returns.
To: SmithL
Terrific! Can we somehow get him to talk to all the other brain-dead 'Leftist Celebs' and possibly start a much-needed trend? ;)

He's a lightweight who would be brutalized in any debate. He made the mistake of posing for a tank/bunny suit photo when he was bailing water out of his rescue boat in New Orleans. Spiccoli should order out for pizza and have done with politics.
