It's been confirmed that Harris will have Rep Mark Foley do commercial for her and join her on the campaign trail touting her ability to work with young people.

Do you have a source for this or this is more smearing?

If people in Florida felt that way, why didn't Jeb Bush, who can't succeed himself as governor or some other prominent Republican get in the race early?

I don't understand why Jeb didn't jump in the race either. It's a no-brainer. The seat would have been an easy pickup.

But since he declined to run he had no business trashing Harris earlier this summer. I know he and the party bosses are (reluctantly) supporting Harris now.

It was sarcasm wrapped in facetiousness.

Harris might help her chances by campaigning in bikini top.

A while back we all kept hearing how she should step aside, she couldn't win, etc. etc.

Then I see she wins.

More of the phony gloom and doom against this woman?

Do us a favor. Save your critiques until after the election, rather than savaging Harris now while she is trying to make up ground.

After 2004, why do people on this site still play with these polls and start whole threads based on them?

It's like they govern their whole moods based on a survey, and expect us to do the same thing.

Why don't you save your nonsense until after the election? Whether you like Harris or not, she IS the nominee now. Unless you'd rather her just throw in the towel now.

Anyone who is fooled by liberal media polls is a fool.

I was involved in one particular US Senate race, just a couple of short years ago, in which, ONE WEEK OUT, the media published a poll against us that proved, one week later, to be OFF BY TWENTY POINTS.

The solution? Work like every single vote is going to provide the winning margin.

And, she's a far better nominee that someone like Lincoln Chaffee.

You misdirect your anger....it is the ultra left FL press that trashes her everyday that you should hate since you say 'I love politics'.

Get out there with the other FL grassroots and help her win!

In today's Orlando Sentinel (Sunday, 10/1/06) the featured editorial cartoon shows Harris saying "Where ahead of Nelson" with someone else saying, "he's already lapped us" (car race). (Note "where" instead of "we're")

The editors of the paper were so enthused about printing their propaganda, designed to undermine Katherine Harris and sell more rags to DemoRats, that they failed spelling 101. They are blind with bias. They're really going to be upset when they are forced to report Nelson's defeat. Or maybe they'll just ignore it.

No matter how you feel about Rep. Harris, and no matter how you feel about her chances...she is the nominee. Feelings stop right there and it is only action that counts. You have three choices. Vote for her, vote for Nelson, or don't vote.

Beyond that, this is mere whining. If you want to win, get your backside off the couch and go do something about it. If you want to lose, stay right where you are.

BTW - All these articles do is get conservatives fired up over Harris and go to the polls in droves.

About 59% of them anyway, if the story is accurate.

She's down 27 points in the polls. The GOP leadership from the Bush brothers on down aren't willing to waste any money on her campaign. She's reduced to begging spots on Fox News and MSNBC to get her fact out there. What bright spot is there?
