I actually enjoy her singing, but she needs to listen to her old records. Her voice has deteriorated significantly. One thing is sure: she won't be singing, and singing well, at eighty like Tony Bennet.

I went to her 2000 "Timeless" concert at MSG. I've been a fan since the early 60s despite my feelings about her politics (which, by the way, used to be incredibly pro-Israel). She made one or two truly juvenile jokes about Republicans during the concert. So I'm not surprised that she made puerile jokes about GWB during her most recent concert - but I'm horrified at her lapse into being a complete guttersnipe.

Oh, veronica, you must have gone to the same acting classes I went to! Remember pretending to be a tuba or an apple? Put me off the Business for years...

Of course she lost it - liberals are notorious for being out-of-control, especially when confronted with reason.

Do not know which network my friend was tuned into; perhaps all are saying same. . .but she offered that 'they' offered. . .that this man was a 'plant' and hence her being upset; as he had followed her, concert to concert. . .

I assured my friend that was no doubt, creative PR on behalf of Streisand and Company; a variation of making a silk purse out of a pigs ear. . .

I moved to the other side of the camera. Somewhat more sane. Somewhat....:)

It seems to me that she knew she'd crossed the line since her PR people today were saying that she only reacted that way because she'd been heckled by a "professional" heckler. We all know that professional hecklers are far worse than amateur ones.
