Report: Agents 'out to shoot Mexicans' (DHS officials have yet to provide proof of statements)

I personally know many BP, CBP, ICE, and all the other catchy acronyms inspectors, agents and what have you are called these days- I worked for US Customs for 10 years and dealt with them & BP both a bunch- many are my close friends. That said I have a few comments.

There are a few loose cannons out there to be sure; as there are in all jobs of this type. They are few and far between and those I thought were the gung-ho "hot dogs" did not last long. It becomes obvious to everyone who they are pretty quickly. These guys both had good records before this incident and I just don't believe they ever said they were out to shoot or get Mexicans. No one says that, it is not even an inside joke or anything else to say that type of thing. Anyone that gets very far in the hiring process knows better than to say anything like that, even the "hot dogs" know better than to say this type of thing. I call BS on this for sure.

I have no knowledge about what happened the day of this incident; I tend to believe these two are innocent of just shooting at the smuggler without cause. They may have made some procedural errors or what ever- but I don't think they committed criminal acts. I think what ever happened that day was blown up bigger than life by complaints from Mexico and higher ups in BP dashing to cover their own behinds.

Any LE officer with a good record doesn't just wake up one day and decide to go shoot innocents- that just doesn't happen. I think politics is to blame for these two men getting railroaded.

I find it hard to believe he wasn't armed either- there is too many possiblities of a load getting hijacked by other bad guys if the smuggler is defenseless. Most of the backpack smugglers are unarmed and nearly all of the smugglers that try to sneak loads through ports of entry are unarmed; but I think it is unusual for a smuggler with a big load coming through the boonies to be unarmed.

It has also become common for smugglers to fire shots in the direction of BP and others to get them to pull back and let them through, most of the time it works because many of the good guys are afraid to get into a shootout. The reason they fear a shootout is not the reason most of us would- it is due to the fear of this type of fallout.

All these folks that work on the border trying to secure our country work really hard and put up with a ton of political BS, it is a real shame. What they really need is full support from the American people and their own bosses up the food chain. We could hire better individuals and keep them if they felt they had backup when they need it.

Wow! I missed that one while moving. DHS needs an Internal Affairs team, under joint GAO and Dept. of Justice, cleaning out all that rot.

This merely illustrates what I've been ranting about for years:

The more we kowtow to a corrupt culture the more corrupt we become in turn. Those that worship diversity and multiculturalism must now face the fact that their replacements for God and Nation are bereft of morality and common decency. They and their strange allies who worship economism are working to sell the birthrights of their (and our) progeny for quick profits, the promise of power and the eventual disintegration of the America we grew up in.

And I wish to God I were wrong.
