There have been 3 polls.

Research 2000 did one in Sept. and the results were 55% Carson / 35% Dickerson

In Mid Oct. Selzer did a pool and had it at 45% Dickerson and 42% Carson

Research 2000 did another poll a week ago and had it a 48% Carson 43% Dickerson.

So with NO TV / Radio advertising Carson has dropped from a 20 pt lead to a 5 pt lead.

Dickerson Radio ads started about 2 weeks ago.

With $'s rolling in and the County GOP chipping in some $'s he is looking at some TV Ads late this week to help push him over the top.

Carson's numbers have no place to go but DOWN.

Unfortunately you must take Dai Huy's post very seriously. I remember going to sleep one night thinking that Carson and been voted out of office only to wake up in the morning and find out she won.

IMO You must keep your sheriff, judges, and other monitors in place and visual contact of the ballots at all time.

I had a busy night - we were on Fox 59 News in Indy at 10 PM. It was such a charged up day I went home and fell asleep in the la-z-boy! Fox 59 did a 2 minute piece on the campaign and how Eric is "full of vitality" and Julia showed she is full of something else...

Eric Dickerson spoke at the Eastern Star church and turns lots of heads - and opinions - and votes! this is nominally a 95%+ Democratic area and they were VERY receptive to Eric Dickerson and his message. Julia Carson had spoken before Eric arrived.

The black periodical, The Indianapolis Recorder, did an article about the race which we expected to be extremely slanted toward Julia Carson. As it is, it turns out its a neutral article.

After Eastern Star, the campaign went to a local community outreach center known as Christamore House. They were hosting a community dinner and Eric was their keynote speaker. He lit up the assembled crowd of mostly seniors, and the staffers came up to him and said they are united as Eric Dickerson supporters.

Today we had 2 visits.

The first one was at Eastern Star Church. They hosted a
National Dialogue & Revival for Social Justice in the Black Church.

The pastor invited Eric to attend when he saw Congresswomen Carson was going to attend and speak. She was leaving as Eric and his volunteers were coming to the Church. They had a cordial meeting in passing.

At the same time Fox 59 news wanted to do a photo shoot of Eric and his volunteers and his RV. ( Nothing on their web site yet )

Eric got to speak to the people in attendance. He was warmly greeted and by the time he was done they were really excited about what he had to say.

Later Eric went to a different place in town to meet people attending an open house in a poorer part of town. They were all glad to see anyone take an interest in them.

That's quite a victory, even for an incumbent in our evenly divided nation.

You didn't tell us what the latest polls showed.

Did you see the thread where the (D) counsel endorsed Steele. Thought some of the comments could apply here.....The wouldn't have endorsed him if they didn't think he could/would win. Jumping on the band wagon etc.

They're screening for "trolls" now, if you get contacted by the moderators it not you. We've just had some REALLY awful posts in the last few days by people who have just signed up. Some of the "old timers" have even been given "time outs"!
