As things stand today Hillary will be President.

Historically, Senators just don't do will in presidential elections. Since 1960, there have been six people who became their party's nominee for President right out of the Senate. Of those six, only one, Kennedy, won.

If she wanted to become President she should have first run for Governor. Of the last eight presidential elections, seven of them were won by a former Governor.

Since at least Eisenhower, the candidate who won the election was the one who was the more likable. And, she just isn't. I saw a recent poll where 30% of respondents said they'd definately vote for her, but 39% said they'd definately vote against her.

With those kinds of numbers, the only way I can see her winning is if she runs against another Senator who is at least as unlikable as she is.

There was an effort on election day to make people think that Republicans were crossing over in droves, but the exit polls showed that only 11% of Republicans said they voted democrat and 16% of democrats said they voted Republican.

I opened up my wallet and supported the war against terror for what the terrorists did to New York. New York in turn spits on my beliefs and values. Never again will I care what happens in New York.

I used to care about Israel. I believed the Jews suffered horribly in WWII. I felt the world was becoming increasingly antisemitic. But my concern about Israel is met by New York Jews who vote far left. Why should I care what happens to their religious homeland if they don't?

I have tried all my life to buy American, and have never bought a car that wasn't a GMC, Ford, or Chrysler product. But why? The rust belt doesn't reflect my values; votes far left. I'm buying a new car this year, and I'm going to free myself of the enmeshment's created by my concern for Americans who spit on my beliefs and values.

After a good trompin', one must dust themselves off and ask why they got so soundly tromped. I got tromped because I cared too much about the affairs of this nation and the world's. I take responsibility for that and I need to fix it.

Just before he died, my WWII vet father told me that if he'd known how America would turn out, he'd never have fought for it. I don't mean to demean our good soldiers in harms way, but I'm coming around to the belief that they're wasting their time fighting for a country (and I don't mean the country is Iraq) that doesn't believe there's a war to fight. Next time, NY can use their law enforcement process to fight their own battle, and open up their own ATM's; I once supported them but they, making me their fool, abandoned me!

Not only that, she will never hold up under scrutiny. The people are not that stupid no matter what we think right now.

Hillary is the most polarizing person there is. I think every single Republican in the country would turn out to vote against her and alot of dems would vote 3rd party cause they don't like her either.

It was a masterful job without a doubt. All these Republican scandals this year. Quite the coincidence......unless of course, you knew where you could get your hands on a few hundred FBI files......

Of course! The FBI files! I never thought of that! That may also explain the wimpiness of the Republicans and the reason for the dems doing her bidding.

Magical thinking. Rudy has been leading in all polling for almost 2 years now. He even leads among conservative, knowledgeable Iowa caucus voters. Sure there will be some social right litmus test voters who will pout and stay home but that won't matter . He will win by 40 some states. By the way he is on record for securing the border.

Absolutely. He became Americas hero durring 9/11. He is loved even by alot of dems. He would have beat Hillary in NY if he hadn't stepped down. I've often thought his quitting that race was suspicious. He was sure to win it. Maybe those FBI files?

President Bush and America were there for NY when it needed us but NY is not there for us when we need them. I feel the same way as you do. Except I love America and I believe she is still worth fighting for.

"She is a wet blanket."

The problem is, that may well turn out to be "President wet blanket".

"what a shameful legacy"

Not to rub salt into your wounds, but you also now have Spitzer and Cuomo to round out your day.

How can that actually be true?

Well, it was published in a newspaper. They would never publish anything if it wasn't true. That would violate their standards of journalistic integrity.

While you are more blunt about it, you are correct. I can't see what the fascination is with her. Especially coming from a strong feminist background? Women kick men to the curb for less than what Bill has done to her! If she can't free herself from his antics, how is she going to be able to lead the free world? She has a very serious character flaw going on that she remains in complete denial of it.

Who is Bill fooling around with these days anyway?

Watch & see a 3rd party candidate (a la Perot) swoop in and guarantee a Hillary victory in 2008.

Yup, that's what I've been saying for the last couple of years. Bill Clinton was elected with just 43% of the popular vote in '92. IMO, Hillary will run, she will get the Dem nomination, and she likely will win.
