Following in the footsteps of his party's leader. "I'm sorry those hayseeds in Mississippi are too stupid to know I didn't mean to insult them."

Pure elitist racist scum, this guy.

Don't take it personally, Mississippians. Over the years, this guy has pretty much offended everybody with his big dumb mouth. He's feeling his oats now that he's finally gotten the job he's waited decades for: Chair, House Ways and Means.

We need to start keeping track of all their crap. Kerry insults the military and Rangel insults Mississippi. Who will be the next DemocRAT to insult another segment of America?

Oh you poor dear. Did I "offend" you. Do you want an "apology"?

Ya, that's the ticket, keep this girly-man nonsense going forever. They did it to me, so I'm going to do it to them, then they'll do it to me because I did it them, so I'm going to do it to them because they did it to me cause I did it to them. Jesus.

Nurdly, I think that you may be wearing your jammies a bit tight? Have you ever heard of the saying 'fight fire with fire?'

And, if I may say so, it seems that you have quite a fixation on 'girly-men'......

Grow up.....

Didn't Hillary hold her nose while living (at the expense of the hard working taxpayers) in Arkansas?

Don't think anyone asked him for an apology. He stuck his foot in his mouth & he was called on it.

The liberals insult anyone who is not part of their snotty little clique: they believe that they know better than us.

The best illustration I can give you is a classmate at the University of Virginia who expressed "disappointment" in me when she found out that I was supporting the Virginia Marriage Amendment in the recent election. She could not fathom how any rational person could support restricting marriage to one consenting man and one consenting woman, of legal age. We almost got into a fight (like I did with another colleague at Carnegie Mellon University, who pestered me by e-mail for some time about the issue), but I told her to remain civil. Thankfully, she did.

However, I do not think that pursuing a strategy of saying "but we're better than them!" would work in 2008, especially with Hillary prowling about.

Somebody posted a 1975 speech by Reagan on FR earlier:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1735897/posts

<snip>

Americans are hungry to feel once again a sense of mission and greatness.

...

Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?

</snip>

Add to this Newt Gingrich's 21st Century Contract with America:

http://www.newt.org/backpage.asp?art=2917

In this week's election, the margin of victory for the 'Rats was extraordinarily slim--here in Virginia, Webb barely squeaked by. Plus, in many states, conservative items on the ballot passed outright, including marriage amendments, etc. If I were a 'Rat, I would not be rejoicing or gloating; I would be scared shitless.

The Republicans need to figure out who they are and what they stand for. If it's the principles of Reagan, limited government, and a return to American ethics of hard work, savings, entrepreneurship, family, and freedom, then we should say it! Say it loudly, say it proudly, and most importantly, live it.

If it's the principles of corruption, big government, and hubris, then we are all screwed.

Target the younger generation. Give people a sense of purpose and a hope for a bright future. Explain to them in plain English our vision and our mission. Tell them that "you know what's best for you" and "we serve you at your pleasure; not the other way around."

And to hell with the MSM. No mud slinging like the 'Rats...let's not lower ourselves to their level. Remember, actions speak louder than words.

As Reagan said:

"The ultimate determinant in the struggle now going on for the world will not be bombs and rockets but a test of wills and ideas--a trial of spiritual resolve: the values we hold, the beliefs we cherish, and the ideals to which we are dedicated."

...

"You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."

President Reagan did a good job, judging by the glowing accolades my parents gave him. They arrived in the States in 1981, having both lived under dictators and tyrants in the Philippines (Marcos) and Romania (Ceaucescu). What Reagan did worked once, and it will surely work again.

I am with you all the way! I think we should ignore the MSM media as well. Too many people hang onto every word they say and it is ridiculous. My TV is very seldom turned to national news unless something is breaking.

When I said keep a record of their quotes, it was not to say we are better then they are but to point out hypocricy of the DemocRATs and their MSM friends compared to their attacks on people like George Allen. Gives us background for the months ahead into the 2008 election.

Those that are intelligent know that "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" is a Southern version of the Tales of the Brave Ulysses which is a classic that Rangel probably hasn't got a clue that it exists.

Just so I can go on the record, Rangel is a prejudiced racist piece of excrement that has little in common with the God fearing people of Mississippi.

I hope you mean no offense to b@stards.

The worst part of losing the House this week was not seeing Rangel resign.
