That's the problem with crass pragmatists. You live in an amoral world. It's not a matter of their intelligence; it's a matter of their soul. I will not check a box next to a man who condones abortion or homosexuality, and there are MILLIONS of voters like me.

You live in a fantasy world. In the real world, post primary, the choice is A or B. Voting for C or staying home does have direct consequences, which you can not sit back, all smug and self righteous, and ignore. It's like passing some bleeding gunshot victim and say "Well, I didn't shoot them...". Grow up! Life is not fair or squeaky clean.

WASHINGTON - Rudy Giuliani came out yesterday against President Bush's call for a ban on gay marriage.

"I certainly wouldn't support [a ban] at this time," added Giuliani, who lived with a gay Manhattan couple when he moved out of Gracie Mansion during his nasty divorce.

Fine...drag in stuff from 1999, when Rudy was the mayor of a VERY liberal city! LOL

What did REAGAN do? Did he, personally overturn Roe V. Wade, during his two terms as president?

So are you saying Rudy's words mean nothing?

There ARE no born again Christians with the charisma to win the Presidency.

You're taking the scraps from the table two years before the election and you're selling short people of real conviction (Pence for example), because you think Rudy's the best their going to give the peasants.

That's disgusting, and it is distinctly UN-Republican.

It was not Giuliani who declined, it was the prostate cancer that did the declining for him.

Because people like you have sold their souls...

Some convictions are not for sale. No Republican should ever lock arms with a pro-abort or a pro-homosexual or anyone who advocates the removal of constitutional protections. The truth is very simple; reaching for the muddy center is precisely what got you the mess you just saw in November.

When Newt articulated a clearly CONSERVATIVE agenda in 1994, he got lots of Republicans elected. The girl Republicans like Rudy (and you) will kill the party, ultimately, because the American center won't know the difference and they will whiff hypocrisy and poll-takers from a mile away. Go ahead and sell your soul for Rudy. I'll pray for you.

I can't believe so many of you are being so dramatic and touting Giuliani as our only hope to beat Hillary. I think any real conservative that can manage to keep their macacas in their mouth from now until the election can beat Hillary. Plus, I don't even think that Hillary is going to be the Dems Presidential candidate. She is unacceptable to too many Democrats.

Civil unions is NOT SAME SEX MARRIAGE!

Rudy dressed up, in drag and in other kinds of costumes, to be in a many generations old political show. SNL then asked him to recreate one of those skits. So what?

Every N.Y.C. mayor has walked in a Gay Pride March; just as they also march in the St Paddy's Day and Steuben Day and Puerto Rican Day, etc., etc, etc. parades.

He moved in with a friend, who happens to be a homosexual AFTER his now ex-wife literally threw him out of Gracie Mansion, which happened to be illegal, but he didn't want to make things worse than they already were, WHILE he was still married to her and going through not only divorce proceedings, but cancer treatments.

Where did you want him to live...on the street, in his downtown office ( which is illegal !), at the YMCA?

He is NOT for SAME SEX MARRIAGE!

I didn't know Pence was running for President, nor that he was born again.
We lost to the socialists this year because many many Republicans stayed home on Principle. "Throw the bums out" and the Republicans did deserve it, but it was not the best solution for our National security, and that is what I care about most, to live to fight another day.

I have less than NOTHING in common with a RUSSIAN PEASANT and neither Pence nor Brownback have the experience to be president, nor the personality to win a presidential election against a so so Dem candidate; let alone Hillary!

Pssssssssssssssssssst......Brownback is for BLANKET AMNESTY for illegals.

Romney sounds a heck of a lot better to me than Giuliani, and he's got the charisma, as well.

Rudy probably comes across as striking and appealing as anyone, but I find his stances just a little hard to swallow.

I'm saying that you have a reading comprehension problem and don't have any idea what Rudy is for or against.

You'll have to pardon me, but hasn't that been the current administration's policy? (I mean, I thought, it was too much to get a conservative who would enforce border policy, but at least I thought I wouldn't have to march in a gay rights parade to keep Hillary out of office; I know; I know; I'm being too "pure.")

Welcome to your world Evangelical...welcome to a world where Ms. Clinton rules, where we abandon the WOT, where Islamists attack without fear, where the US is a second rate power because the Chinese control the ME, and threaten Taiwan and Japan. Say goodbye to India as counterweight, say goodbye to lower taxes. And, while you are at it, say goodbye to your freedom...big brother will rule.
