To me, that looks like the expression of the Geico "I've lost my appetite" caveman.

Hunched on a stool that is moulded to the floor of his broom-cupboard-sized cell, he turns the pages of the newspaper spread out on the concrete desk before him, soaking up stories and pictures from an outside world that he will never see again.Mental note to self: "Don't ever attempt to blow up an aircraft."

"I don't know Richard Reid, but I'll tell you one thing. You put a dog in a cage and keep poking it with a big stick, don't expect it to stay nice."Given that this is a quote from a guard and not the journalist, I'm thinking that the point here is that the guard is cautioning people that just because this guy is a model prisoner, don't think that he won't jump up and kill you if he gets the chance.

ha ha, good one but I've never seen Dr. Phil [is that shocking?? I have some vague idea he's a TV therapist to the stars??] so I can only guess what that means.....
How about "the perky one" 24/7..... I think Katie Couric could drive anyone to the brink of insanity and beyond.

Puhleeze, we're much more civilized than these scum...
For God's sake man, we gave them a wheel and fire....and they put a rope through the wheel to use as a weapon and set each other on fire....they are too primitive to educate.....
I think I've lost my appetite again.

All terrorists are summarily executed within two weeks of trial, no exceptions For a guy who came within seconds of blowing a couple hundred people out of the sky, it sure as hell is amazing that he still breathes.

They don't even have cable?
To: fanfan
I'd much prefer that he wear a noose......pulled tightly around his neck.

So, non Muslims are discriminated against by having body cav searches -- and Muslims get HANDS-OFF SPECIAL TREATMENT because of their religion?
Huh???
I lived in Turkey for four years and if I recall correctly, they had a special place in their airport when you went through security for body cav searches. They didn't seem to have a problem with it back in the 90's! It's only against their religion if it prevents them from creating havoc on someone else it appears!

It IS cruel to incarcerate this POS..
Cruel to the taxpayers that have to house, guard, feed, clothe and medicate the worthless bastard..
There is no downside to being captured by America...
Islamic terrorists, once convicted should ALL be shot within weeks of conviction..

Given that he wasn't going to be executed, the punishment is more than adequate. Whoever posted, thanks for sharing!

I suppose blowing up a 747 with with matches and plastic explosive in your shoes is a sign of sanity. I suppose it is our fault he is losing the sanity that was not too apparent when he was arrested.

It only plays educational and religious programs. It looks pretty bad to me, as it should be.

I can't imagine living under those circumstances--never to see green grass and trees and sunshine and clouds. Never to touch someone you love or see your wife and children again. I'd rather be dead.
