Tom Brokaw on his way to deliver his eulogy
President GW Bush eulogizing President Ford.
I felt a solemnity and gravity enter the proceedings when the president stepped up to speak.

The Reverend Robert Certain, the rector of Ford's parish in Palm Desert, California, spoke of his conversation with President Ford in June, 2006, before Rev. Certain attended the Episcopal Convention where homosexuality, and women in leadership, would be addressed. After a thorough discussion, he said President Ford said there shouldn't be any need for divisiveness when people were following the Great Commandment (Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself), and the Great Commission (Go into all the world and preach the good news [of salvation] to all creation).
President Bush referred in his eulogy to his last visit with former President Ford in April, 2006, saying that Ford said he was grateful to have Betty Ford still by his side.
I can't help but wonder if President Ford asked President Bush to his home to discuss his funeral arrangements and ask President Bush to speak at his funeral if it took place while Bush was still in office, etc., as the main reason for this visit.

Here is a
link to the thread with Kissinger's eulogy. But it's excerpted from the NY Times. We need to find a source that could be fully quoted.

That photo of the elder Mr. Bush giving Nancy Reagan a kiss is really sweet. I can just imagine the emotions running through Mrs. Reagan's mind with all of this.

In every picture, #42 stands out with a red flushed face.
Bad living no doubt, but it shows. Can't hide it.
