Sounds like Merill is setting up to Lynch the taxpayers with a quick buy-off-theinfluential-and-corrupt-democrat-politician.

Then again, the insurance companies bought off CT's Chris Dodd many years ago.

"We are delighted to have a dynamic, energetic visionary like Harold Ford join Merrill Lynch," Chairman and CEO Stan O’Neal said in a statement.

Translation: He'll make a great shakedown artist in DC

Does this mean that he's giving up politics, or is this a holding pattern for a few years?

Well, I'm glad I do not have any dealings with Merrill Lynch. Nor am I going to.

If Jr. is in charge of the Democrat leadership, is this not a conflict of interest?
