I’ll give it only a 4. Rant vanities need a LOT more anger that was communicated here.

The Iraq War was never contingent upon the existence of WMDs.
This was the biggest mistake Bush made....he led on that this was the main reason for the war, which was wrong given that there were plenty of other more legitimate reasons to go in.
Personally, I think we should have gone in after Saddam's assassination attempt on Bush Sr., which was clearly an act of war. Problem was we had a coward in the White House at the time.

Sometimes, if you pretend to be an idiot, you just end up proving you’re an idiot.

I know what ‘shoebooty’ means, but I don’t know what ‘nertz’ is.

This was the biggest mistake Bush made....he led on that this was the main reason for the war, which was wrong given that there were plenty of other more legitimate reasons to go in. Actually he didn't go on about that being the main reason. The MSM cherry picked that part and kept it in focus while ignoring everything else he ever said and the reasons that he gave for the Iraq War. Here is his speech before the UN. Read it in its entirety and you'll note that the MSM only picked out aluminum tubes and WMDs. They ignored the rest.
SEPT 12, 2002: President's Remarks at the United Nations General Assembly
And you know what, the aluminum tubes were captured going into Iraq and those high strength tubes, in of themselves were banned regardless if they were to be used for missiles or centrifuge parts. The MSM turned it into the mantra "NO ALIMINUM TUBES FOUND" which was a huge lie.

This is the king of crap that ruins DU. Half of there threads are “I don’t believe this”, and “I’m mad as heck now!”. Let’s hope the mods don’t put up with this.

I don’t know where, when, or how it got started exactly, but back in the 50’s and 60’s I recall people using the expression “nertz” to express rejection of an idea or action. To “say nertz” to something (like used in this vanity posting) would mean to totally reject it.
Perhaps it has a Yiddish origen (I don’t know, but maybe someone else out there does).
