Repeat a lie often enough - it might as well be the truth.
No. Clinton.
White House IT contractors were threatened with jail if they told anyone about the years of "lost" emails -- inadvertantly lost it seems owing to gremlins, destroyed archival cartridge tapes and reformated hard drives.
There was a "glitch." Sorry it happened because of "unintentional" programming procedures and "human error." Hey! this IT stuff is complicated.
A letter sent to House Governmental Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Dan Burton from Clinton White House counsels explained that it might take upwards of $3 million and as long as two years to recover the emails. Sorry.
It's an old trick but it might just work -- and here's a bonus!
The Clinton White House said that it would be impossible to recostruct emails for people whose last name begins with "D". You Bush guys could say that you have the same problem with names that begin with "R"!
rofl....BRILLIANT!
