Actually, I must be a jihadi because I denounce the debauchery of college life, too.

I did and it didn’t bother me as much as it did some others. And it certainly isn’t proof this guy was an islamic terrorist.

Atta and company would not have killed were it not for Islam. This guy (and the crazy kid in Tampa, too) was so troubled that he was going to commit some terrible act regardless.

He was a senior majoring in English. He was in a panic realizing his job prospects were zilch. I speak with the voice of experience.

Sentence doesn’t say “while,” so I leave it out. I’m a very literal reader (which is why I don’t appreciate much poetry or modern fiction).

I’m really reaching here . . . I guess I could whack someone with a shoehorn, but I don’t own one, so that will have to remain a hypothetical. ;)

As to why she’d take off her shoes, I have no clue. I figured my ignorance was a lack of context.

Right, but he had the same twisted problems as the jihadis

His problems were different. I believe the vast majority of suicide bombers would not be violent in another culture. The corruption of Islam, the utter separation of the sexes and the constant preaching of hateful invectives combine with backward political and economic systems to create frustrated, angry young men.

Cho was psychotic and would be dangerous in any culture.

Very well put.

There are two explanations for the discrepencies: the Islamic one is that the Angel Gabriel dictated to Koran directly to Mohammad to remove the "errors" that had crept into other revealed scriptures. The other is that Mohammad stole the basic characters and themes from the Torah shamelessly while altering the narrative to put him and his followers above the 'chosen people'.

There is a possible third explanation, which was that Mohammed did indeed receive the content of the Koran as dictated by an angel...but it wasn't Gabriel.

"I doubt he was Al Qeada and I also doubt he was a true believer. I think he was more of a wannabe jihadi."

I doubt he was any of the above.

He was just a whacked out kid. No conspiracy here.

The RoP has been on a roll for the past few years. Beheadings, Beltway sniper, etc.

Not to consider and look for the RoP's involvement would be foolish, IMO.
