The President said that no stockpiles of WMD were found and that is true. I think he should make the case that Saddam was working in building all the precursors required to build the Chemical Weapons because that is an undeniable fact as we have seen from the documents. However in my opinion, the President has a lot on his plate and he wants to win the war in the field rather than go back and argue about the WMD issue.

Also regarding WMD moved to a foreign country, I doubt it because of Saddam regime extreme paranoia and distrust. He was afraid that if he give a certain country the precursors to make WMD this country can make a deal with the US to turn the materials in exchange of money or other favors.

The Bush Administration has a philosophy of “Life can be understood backwards but it must be lived forwards.” They know this evidence exists but chooses only to use it as a last resort when news breaks on the topic.

They get the pounced on by the left wing media and Democrats unless the facts presents itself at the right moment.

Great Job JV, you are a true patriot!! I read the Air Force General’s book and he said that it was taken in some 707’s to Syria. You obviously don’t believe that and have documents showing otherwise or believe the precursers were the real WMD. Awesome reading.

Saddam had WMD. Everybody in the defense establishment knew about Iraqi WMD. Russia, Germany, France, and China delayed UN action until weapons could be smuggled out of Iraq. You may access over 100 news reports about Iraq's WMD and links to terrorism. Bush probably regrets not blowing the whistle on Russia's smuggling program. France and Germany were equally guilty. The Bechtel Corp. was building chemical plants for Saddam. Too embarrassing for Bush to deal with? Where are Saddam's WMD today? Syria? Iran? Guess that is why Al-Qaeda just announced the are planning a "Hiroshima" attack on the West. Our open borders are a big problem. Open borders are a big problem in Iraq, too.

At least the White House is consistent. 'Nuff said.

Thanks Bray. It is possible that the WMD were moved to Syria but according to my reading of the documents, my analysis, and knowing the paranoid nature of Saddam, I doubt that this happened.

So really what your saying in a verbage sense is that if GW was to talk about these precursers PravdABDNC would claim they were Fertilizer or Pesticides. He would be in a no win situation, even though he knows they were about to become WMD.

regarding WMD moved to a foreign country

Saddam had strong Baath Party connections in Syria. He could ship to Syria without really giving them to the Syrians. Of course, after the invasion, there was no reason not to give them to the Syrians, or Hezbollah for that matter.

Great work, BTW. Thanks.

Bush declaring WMDs did not exist makes no sense in the absence of it being to protect Russian culpability.

It makes sense if the overpowering need was to keep them out of the hands of Al Queda and (later) the insurgents. If we acknowledge they exist, then we have to find them before they do. All of them.

That is exactly true, and hence the deception of Saddam regime to build the precursors for WMD rather than assemble and store the WMD final product.
