“I don’t know why the gooberment is having such a fit over this. They let thousands of illegals cross the border each year with TB and other nasty diseases such as cholera, diphtheria, plague, leprosy, malaria, and viral hemorrhagic fevers”

You don’t have to be illegal to import TB or anything else; you could have it and be on a tourist visa. And we don’t need to import plague because it lives in the animal populations in the West. Surely you know that TB is of somewhat greater concern than the other things that you listed because it is so easily transmitted.

Thanks for posting that. As soon as I saw the first map I saw the pattern and was looking for a good hispanic population map.

They are quaranteening the passengers from the two flights he was on, but what about the other connecting flights and those who came in contact with at the ticket counters, boarding areas etc? The possible vectors could be exponential.

LOL! Uh..... For you to say that Mexicans having NOTHING to do with TB, or that terrorist do not have NO desire to do something like this is beyond ridiculous. It is ignorant.

Mexicans have nothing to do with tuberculosis contracted by US citizens in Paris, Prague, or Montreal.

Steps to success:

1) Read the article
2) Learn geography
3) Remove tinfoil hat
4) ????
5) PROFIT!

Actually, I was thinking about people he may have exposed in Atlanta itself, but you’re right. Atlanta is actually the busiest airport in the world, and has flights to literally hundreds of destinations in the U.S., not to mention dozens of places overseas. If something contagious were exposed there it could not be contained.

Well, here's the really nasty disease the Illegals are bringing into our country. They transmit it with their hands..think eating out.

GUATEMALA 13-09-06

730 Thousand with Chagas Disease MSF reported that in Guatemala at least 730 thousand people are infected with Chagas disease and some 3 million are living in risk of contagion. The disease is closely associated with poverty.

Chagas is transmitted by an insect that lives in houses with palm ceilings. The insect places a parasite in the heart of the infected until the person dies. According to figures reported by MSF some 18 million people are infected and 50 thousand die every year in the region. To know better what is Chagas disease and economic ways to prevent it read the report by MSF.

Maybe he was pretty ill by then and knew he couldn’t board or they tried and wouldn’t let him board. And maybe I missed it, but this was May 24th, where’s he been since then? LOTS of time unaccounted for.

But not to worry, I’m sure, if they haven’t already, they’ll be announcing any time now that there is no credible evidence that this is in any way related to terrorism and that only those passengeners and crew on those two flights need to be checked. Carry on.

Oh I see you want to be childish about this. Funny how you left out that this is not an Islam plot. Perhaps you are conceding my point? Moreover, once again are YOU saying that Mexicans have NOTHING to do with reappearance and the rise in TB? If so, then you are ignorant. Finally, its obvious you lack the intellect to read between the lines. You take everything for face value and nothing more. You read everything, and believe it 100%. Then again there is a sucker born every minute. I think you need to change your name to hook, line and sinker. You would have fit like a glove in Jonestown.

"Why do you damn conservatives make incurable tuberculosis,
infectious hepatitis, incurable tuberculosis, typhoid,
cholera, plague, measles, mumps, Chagas disease, leprosy,
incurable Morgellons disease, Dengue fever, and
polio, always sound like a 'bad thing'? These diseases are good for America
just like the 40,000 annual murders, and 50,000 hit&runs, and the uncountable
WMD and infections that these aliens bring in."

The story title says “American,” meaning he was probably a citizen.

privacy. You can’t even get info from a hopsital unless you’re on the list. A friend could not find out about his own MOTHER cause some strict reading of the new privacy rules.

Read the thread. People are making direct accusations that this guy was an illegal. It’s not just people commenting about the rise in the TB due to illegal immigration, not just from Latin America, but also from Eastern Europe.

“What a peculiar itinerary. Leave from Atlanta, return to Montreal and drive back to Atlanta? Why not just fly back into Atlanta?

Was there some reason this person could not fly directly back to the United States?”

I travel a lot on business and often do things like this. Sometimes it is business that takes me on a circuitous route and sometimes I just tack on a vacation at the end of a long trip by stopping off in another city to visit family or friends. It may sound strange to you, but I know a number of people who do the same thing.

Maybe he’s an undocumented Muslim from Mexico. If he had a Z-Visa, maybe this would not have happened.

Mexicans have nothing to do with the price of tea in China or this article.

If it were terrorists, they'd pick something more virulent, and they certainly wouldn't go to the hospital for treatment, lol.

This is because most of the TB that is reenetering the country is do to illegal imigration. Primarly from Mexico and the Southern Border.
